Sivaangi's pov

A year later...

I woke up this morning to the chirping from the birds. I turned to my left, as usual Ashwin was loud asleep, I still find it cute when he's sleeping. I kissed his forehead as usual.

Meena aunty knocked on the door and I opened it.

"Shivu, is he still sleeping ? When will he ever be responsible ? We have to leave in a while. Faster get ready", she said and walked away.

I went sit by Ashwin and brushed his hair. Who would want to wake up this sleeping beauty of mine ? But I had to.

"Ashuuu...Ashuu", I whispered as I caressed his cheeks. It didn't work, in fact it made him more sleepy.

"Ashwin...Ashwinnnnn", I called as I slowly shook his body. Still no response. I knew what I had to do.

"Ashwineyyyyyy......", I said and he slowly opened his eyes.

"Good morning sleepy head", I said and gave him a kiss.

He turned to see the clock, it showed 7:32 A.M.

"Shivuuu...why so early", he dragged.

"Don't you remember what day it is ?", I asked pulling his ear.

He got up and sat straight on the bed. He rubbed his eyes and got clear.

"How can I forget", he said curving a smile.

"Happy Anniversary my chellakuty, my chellama, my Dora papa, my Shivu", he said and hugged me.

"Happy Anniversary Ashwineyy", I said and hugged him back.

"One down, many to go", he said.

I kissed him on the cheeks and he kissed me back.

"Don't you remember another thing today ?", I asked breaking the hug.

"What's that ?", He asked while kissing my hand.

"Harrish Saranya's baby shower ?", I raised my eyebrows.

"Oh shoot, how did I forget that ? We don't have much time left", he said rushing down the bed.

"Ashwin..I", I wanted to say but he went in to the bathroom.

At Shivu's parents house

Ashwin's pov

The function ended well. We had it done grand since it's an impact function to both our families. Me and Shivu are going to be Atte and Mama. It's excited that were moving to the next chapter of our lifes. And the irony is, the baby shower was held on the same day of our wedding anniversary. Can this day get any better ?

It was late evening, all the relatives were gone except for the close ones. Me and Harrish were chatting outside. One thing I noticed is, Shivu kept eyeing me. I didn't know what it meant, and there too many people to ask now.

It's planned that, everyone will stay at their house tonight and leave with Saranya in the morning. That night was filled with happiness. The living room filled with laughter and joy. My grandparents were there too.

I texted Shivu to meet me at her room. She went up and I followed her after a few minutes. She was sitting in the bed. I went sat beside her.

"It was a good day isn't it ?", I asked.

"Yeahh, I'm so happy", she replied smiling.

"I have something for you", we both said simultaneously.
