Amelia's POV

Two hours, that's how long we have been Christmas shopping already. Skye and Liv are not messing around, I started to panic when I realised, they were all buying me a gift. I have absolutely no idea what to buy them all, so I watched them as we shopped. Olivia couldn't stop looking at a dress that was in the display window of one of the shops, so I snuck in and bought it whilst she was talking to Skye. It turned out that Skye was the easiest, she spent half the trip talking about her favourite book. Which I managed to find a signed copy of in a book shop. Mason and Sam were the hardest, I was getting desperate.

"Hey, Skye, do you know what I can get the boys? I honestly have no idea." She looked up at me smiling.

"Men aren't really my speciality, but I know Sam really liked that guitar, he used to play but his dad said it wasn't a useful talent." A useful talent? I really hate his dad. Mine considered music a part of life, he loved it. I could play the piano before I could walk.

"His dad's a dick, what about Mason?"

She shook her head, "I have no idea for that one."

So that just leaves Oscar, what do I get him? It occurred to me I don't actually know him; I had spent half my time ignoring him and the other half trying not to kiss him. There hadn't really been a lot of talking.

"How about Oscar? I feel bad, I think I upset him." Skye looked at me confused, why was she so confused?

"Like I said, I'm not very good with men. But I think all he really wants is you." Her words surprised me; did everyone know? Did they all think I was breaking up two mates. Does the whole school know, does Nicole know it's me?

"Hey, guys, we have a couple more shops to go to, and then we can grab dinner. I think we'd better hurry, the boys look miserable," Olivia said, bouncing towards us, how does she always have so much energy?

"I'll follow you guys in a minute; I have to grab Sam's gift. Do you think you can keep him distracted for me?" They both nodded and walked out of the shop.

Luckily the one music shop in the mall had the perfect guitar, it was similar to my dad's, still a Gibson but it was black instead of brown. I snuck it into the trunk of the car, it's really not easy to walk around with a guitar shaped case and have Sam not know what it is. I started walking to the food court before a toy in the window of a souvenir shop caught my eye. It was my dad's GB5, an exact replica of the car. I ran inside to buy it, at least Mason's gift's sorted now. I think fate is finally on my side, as I was paying for the car, I saw a picture on the wall. It was of the lake Oscar had taken me to, the owner of the shop explained his wife is a photographer, and she hikes all around the woods and mountains for the perfect picture. When I told him, I went there this morning, he offered it to me. I refused to just take it, I told him the truth. That it was beautiful and offered to buy it off of him. He eventually agreed, and just like that, all my shopping was done.

By the time I made it to the food court, the guys were already sitting at a table waiting for me. As I got closer, I realised Oscar was with them. He didn't look at me as I sat down, I felt guilty, though I'm not exactly sure what I have done.

"So, did you finish your shopping?" Olivia chirped, not noticing the tension between the two of us.

Oscar just nodded at her and went back to eating his burger, Olivia ignored him and turned to me, "Yeah, I managed to get everything. I'm going to grab something to eat." I walked over to the nearest stall, queuing for something to eat. After a few minutes I felt a shiver run down my back, as if someone were looking at me. It was making me uncomfortable, looking around, I saw Jake glaring at me. His eye was bruised, and his left arm was bandaged. Damn it, he started to walk towards me, and I turned and walked in the other direction. I really am getting good at avoiding conversations, I need to stand up for myself. I'm done being afraid of everything, so I stop outside the entrance for the car park. Turning just in time to see him before he grabbed me by the throat.
