JADE'S POV
"No freaking way!" I squealed. You could consider this the best day of my life. My parents know me way too well, you could say they were prepared for my reaction.
"You guys...this is...do you even know what these are?!" I had lost my breath from screaming so I obviously continued to scream. The feels are too crazy to handle, okay?
"Jade! Calm down please. We bought them online, of course we know what they are" my dad reassured me.
"Am I dreaming?" I sat down abruptly, head in hands.
"No hunny" my mum rubbed my back soothingly while she chuckled to herself. "We thought this could be a great birthday present for you?"
"Mum...my birthday isn't for another 3 months" I raised an eyebrow.
"Well...we know you love All Time Fall Out or whatever it's called" my dad gestured to the concert tickets in my hands. I mentally face-palmed...then physically.
"There's All Time Low then Fall Out Boy! I am going to All Time Low. Geez. How did you even find the tickets if you didn't know the name of the band?!" I laughed.
"We were joking darl, we know their names"
"I am actually so glad" I breathed out in relief.
"Thank you guys so much! I love you guys to the moon and back and thank you for understanding how much their music means to me!" I embraced my parents into a long hug.
"It's too early for hugs" my dad retreated.
"I used to be a fangirl too when I was your age but there was just no word for it back then" my mum said to me before she left the room. I have to admit, my mum being a fangirl was not a good image to be imprinted in my brain.
"Ughhh! School! Really?! I am so done with my life." I groan to no one in particular.
"Hey! You can't be done with life until after that concert. Don't go wasting my money." my dad came in with a cup of coffee, almost snorting at how funny he was trying to be at this early hour.
"Ha-ha. Very. Funny. I'm going to go and get ready for school now. Thanks again for the tickets daddy!" I put on the sweetest face that I could manage.
"No problem" he mumbled.

"Yeah, that's cool. If you're into that sort of thing" Alexus pulled up her nose at the news.
"Do you have any idea how much this means to me? You know what? Forget about it! I am so sick of opening up to you when all you do is shut me down!" I said sternly, without getting too over the top and yelling.
"You know I didn't mean it like that. It's just not one of my interests, that's all."
"If you say so" I roll my eyes and attempt to walk as far away from her as possible.
"Atkins!" really? Already being rampaged by peers an it's only 8am.
"Jackson...what do you want?" I sigh.
"Good morning to you too" he laughed "I just overheard your convo with dog breath"
"Her name is Alexus and why were you eavesdropping?" I glare at him with my ice-blue eyes.
"I was just walking past...anyway, on a brighter note, you are going to see All Time Low?!" Jackson was ecstatic about them, as per usual.
"Yeah! Wanna come with? I have 4 tickets" I was so excited.
"Oh my f*#king god! Yes please! Holy f*#k, I love you! Not like that, you know what I mean. 4 tickets...we should double date. I'll bring Jessica and you can bring..."
"No! Do not mention his name"
"Voldemort" he whispers as I punch him in the arm.
"Eww, no! I meant Tyler. I don't even like him and he is like sooo geeky! I wouldn't be caught dead with him." I try to get my point across. Don't you hate it when your best friends ship you with people that don't even interest you?!
"Yeah. Sure thing" he winks at me before snatching the concert tickets out of my hands that I was happily showing everyone and bolted.
"Come back here you little sh#t! You know I can't run."
"That was the point" he calls over his shoulder before his black hair disappears out of my sight.

First period. My free period. I still haven't found my tickets. I was getting kind of worried and I've been texting Jackson ever since he ran off with them.
Quack.
Text!
I hid them in the boy's bathroom. They're in the cubicle at the very end of the room and they're in that part of the toilet where everyone puts their money in the movies. Sorry bæ. I was too tempted. Love you heaps ;)
He was dead meat. I took long strides across the quad to where the men's toilets were. There shouldn't be anyone in there since about 30 students in the whole school had a free period right now. I came to the entrance of the bathroom. Guy's toilets actually reek of deodorant and cologne! I cautiously tip toed my way in, hoping that no one would be in there. Screw! There was one cubicle that was engaged, and through the gap between the wall and the door of the cubicle, I swear I could make out a blonde quiff and the neck of an acoustic guitar. Who plays in the bathroom?! I hurried over to the far cubicle when the rubber of my converses made abrupt contact with the tile, creating an echoing squeak. sh#t! I ran into the cubicle and locked myself in as I heard a familiar flush sound and a door opening.
"Ahem!" I heard a boy indirectly cough at, most probably, me.
"You can come out. I know something's up cause I can see your girl connies" he laughed.
"Oh sh#t" I accidentally say out loud.
"Oh sh#t indeed" he giggled as I unlatch the cubicle door. The boy was...wow! Absolutely stunning. His luscious, blonde hair was swept up in the perfect quiff, probably about 3 inches tall might I add. His piercing blue eyes burning holes through me and all I could do was stare back.
"Hi" I started sheepishly "I'm Jade" I stuttered.
"I'm Luke" he automatically replied without hesitation.
"Care to explain?" he looked me up and down as I squirmed uncomfortably under his glare.
"It's actually quite a funny story. My parents bought me some concert tickets so I brought them to school to show some people because they literally meant the world to me. My friend, Jackson, took off with them as a joke after I invited him to go cause I have 4 tickets so I figured why not? He ended up texting me a few minutes ago saying that he hid them in the end cubicle of the boy's bathroom. It's my free period so I didn't really think that anyone else would be in here" I looked down at my feet, waiting for a reply.
"Sounds legit" is all Luke said, sending me a smirk before approaching me.
"What are you doing?" I let out a nervous laugh.
"I'm gonna help you find these tickets. I know how you feel. Music controls my life as well" he chuckled before stepping into the cubicle with me.
"According to Jackson they should be in here" I question when I lift the lid of the toilet.
"Bingo" Luke says as he reaches in and hands them back to me.
"So...All Time Low, huh? They're like one of my favourite bands!" he takes a glimpse at the tickets from over my shoulder.
"Really?! The Rolling Stones as well?" I ask, pointing at his black Rolling Stones hoodie.
"Yeah" he blushes. God he was so tall but so adorable at the same time. How does that even work?
"We must have a lot more in common than I thought" I smirk, my confidence finally catching up to me.
"But my question for you is. Why were you playing the guitar and singing in the bathroom?" I raise my eyebrow.
"It's peaceful I guess. No one comes in here on my free period and plus, great acoustics, duh!"
"Fair enough" I grin.
"You sound amazing, by the way" I feel the heat rise to my cheeks and find myself immediately cursing at my body's actions.
"Thanks. Do you play?"
"Not a lot but every now and then" I inch myself closer to him.
"We should totally have a jam sesh one day at mine, or something" he suggests shyly.
"That would be awesome"
"So...how much do you like All Time Low?" I question while leaning up against the wall in the bathroom.
"You have no idea" his smile is so bright that you can see his dimples.
"Do you want to come to the concert with me and a couple friends?"
"Are you serious?! That would be super cool! I can't thank you enough! How can I make it up to you?!" he searches for answer in my eyes. I contemplate about what I want out of this guy.
"I just want to know you better. I think we can become really great friends. I have this gut feeling the we have a lot in common." I flash a smile and Luke seems a bit taken aback.
"Jade Atkins wants to get to know, punk-nobody Luke Hemmings?"
"You know my full name?" I place my hand on my hip.
"Well you're pretty popular, not to mention um...don't worry" he fumbles on his words and tucks his hands into his hoodie pockets.
"What is it?" I demand, playfully punching him in the arm.
"You're really uh... really um beau-beautiful" he managed to get out before turning his back to me and making his way back to his cubicle to fetch his guitar.
"Luke! Wait up!" I laugh, almost running into him as he stops for me.
"You have really good looks yourself" I really have no idea where that came from but before I could stop myself, I reached up on the tips of my toes and planted a soft kiss on his cheek. Giving him a wink and a wave goodbye, I make my way out of the bathroom with the widest grin on my face that I could not seem to shake off.
