Kaoru knew he was very clingy since he was a kid. Especially when it was about Kojiro. But this new emotion, it wasn't clinginess, it was hella similar, but not the same.
The first time he felt those weird feelings was when he went to see Kojiro at his new job. And you may wonder where Kojiro was working, well, it was a host club. Kojiro had to save a lot for his expenses at the culinary school in Italy, and not even a blind person could deny how attractive Kojiro was. So, a host club was the perfect job for Kojiro to save a lot of money in just one summer.
Kaoru had booked his appointment at the host club with Kojiro that afternoon. And he was so eager to tease him the whole time. Anyway, when Kaoru went to see him, he was ready with his phone in his hands to take pictures of his best friend and blackmail him in the future. But what he didn't expect that day, was to have the biggest gay panic of his life.
As soon as he entered the coffee shop, the bright, dashing and beautiful smile of Kojiro greeted him. He looked so gorgeous, dressed in a white shirt and black vest that hugged his waist deliciously. His green short waves were styled too for once, and Kaoru suddenly had the urge to let his hand go through Kojiro's hair.
Wait a moment, since when did he think about his best friend like that?
Before he could think why he suddenly felt weak on the knees, Kojiro placed a hand on the small of his back, guiding him to somewhere.
"Hello, beautiful. Come with me." Kojiro demanded, his smile bright and never falling from his handsome face.
Kaoru was speechless.
Kojiro took him to a table, and like a gentleman, he helped Kaoru to sit on his chair, brushing delicately his pink strands before he took the menu from the table, offering it to Kaoru.
Kaoru took it, trying to focus on the different desserts and drinks the place offered. But it was impossible, his eyes betrayed him going directly to Kojiro again, who was still looking at him with that dazzling smile.
Kaoru was still speechless.
"If you don't know what to order, I can recommend something to you." Kojiro offered.
Kaoru nodded, and Kojiro sat beside him, opening the menu and pointing to different options.
"The combo of the strawberry shortcake and strawberry boba tea it's amazing. Wanna give it a shot, gorgeous?" Kojiro asked, winking at him.
It wasn't the first time Kojiro winked at him. But it was the first time it made him feel all weird on the inside.
Kaoru nodded again, incapable of blurting a single word.
"Okay! I'll be right back in a second, sweetheart." Kojiro said, taking the menu with him and disappearing to get his order.
Kaoru stared blankly at the wall in front of him having an internal mental breakdown.
He knew waiters at host clubs had to act like that with the customers. He knew that all the flirting was just an act. He knew Kojiro had to do this with everyone that entered the coffee shop.
Then why did he feel so damn weird inside?
He was used to their banter; their never ending bickering. And yeah, sometimes they were soft to the other, too. But this? Kojiro never had made him feel that way with sweet words and just a smile.
Okay, it wasn't just a smile. Because Kojiro's smile was so, so beautiful that it always put the sun to shame. But, why did he have to notice it now?
