Did I impress you?

The first time Kojiro realized he was in love with his best friend, was the day Kaoru got his first piercing.

That morning, Kojiro was waiting for Kaoru in front of his house, and when he saw Kaoru wearing a face mask, he got worried.

"Are you sick?" he asked, placing his hand on Kaoru's forehead.

"Nope." he answered. Kojiro could sense he was smiling under the face mask. "Look." Kaoru lowered the mask, revealing a shiny ring on his lip.

He had got a piercing. And the first thought that crossed Kojiro's mind was: I want to kiss him so badly and feel that piercing against my lips .

Kojiro blinked, feeling how flushed his cheeks were.

"Well? What do you think?" Kaoru asked, smiling mischievously, touching the piercing with the tip of his tongue.

He really wanted to kiss him very, very badly.

"I like it, you look hot." Kojiro answered without thinking, blushing even more at his own bluntness. But looking how smug and proud of himself Kaoru was after that answer, maybe feeling a little bit embarrassed wasn't that bad after all.

"Yeah, my piercer told me that with my punk aesthetics and the piercing, now I have a lot of swag." he said with a bright smile and gleaming eyes.

Kojiro loved to see Kaoru being so confident with himself.

God, I love him.

Kojiro blinked again, this time feeling how his heart did a somersault as he realized what he had just thought.

He loved him. Kojiro was in love with his best friend.

"Yeah, your piercer is right." Kojiro agreed, trying to hide his nervousness with a little chuckle. After a deep breath, he finally managed to ask "Why are you wearing a face mask, though?"

As they walked away from his house, Kaoru looked over his shoulder to make sure his parents weren't in sight and took off the face mask.

"I'm gonna wear it at home until the piercing is fully healed, just in case my parents make me take it off. I'm not gonna do it, though, but if it's healed, I can put it on and take it off as I please. I'm a genius." he explained his plan with a smug smile.

Kojiro couldn't take his eyes off the piercing.

"Yeah, that's very clever." he nodded in agreement.

Kaoru furrowed his brow.

"What's wrong with you? You never agree with me so easily." Kaoru stopped on his tracks, demanding an answer.

Kojiro shook his head, trying to focus on something else besides that damn sexy piercing.

"Nothing! I really think you had a really good idea for once!" he lifted his hands in surrender.

Kaoru squinted his eyes, not fully believing him.

"Yeah, okay. Anyway, wanna get a coffee?" Kaoru asked, blinking exaggeratedly at him.

Kojiro sighed.

"That's your way of telling me to invite you to a coffee?" Kojiro crossed his arms.

"Yep." Kaoru smugly said.

Kojiro sighed again. He couldn't deny anything to him.

"I spoil you too much." Kojiro said, pocking him on the arm.

"Never it's too much." Kaoru said feeling victorious.

Kojiro secretly loved to spoil Kaoru, but he wasn't gonna give him the satisfaction of admitting it.
