Reki was rummaging through Kaoru and Kojiro's kitchen for a snack when he noticed there was something marked in a big, red circle in the calendar on the next day. It must be a really important date, he thought.

"Guys, your anniversary is tomorrow?" Reki asked when he returned to the living room.

Everyone turned their heads to look at him from the couch. Kojiro cocked a brow.

"No, our anniversary is in October. Why do you ask?" Kojiro looked at Kaoru, puzzled by the question.

"Oh, I just saw something marked in the calendar that looked kind of important for tomorrow and I was curious about it." Reki explained, shrugging.

The couple smiled mischievously to each other, but didn't say anything.

The silence prolonged for a couple of minutes where everyone looked expectantly at each other. Everyone in their group was as gossipy as Reki, and the first one to show it was Miya.

"What happens tomorrow? What are you hiding from us?" he asked, squinting his eyes at them.

"We want to know!" Shadow shouted.

Langa nodded in agreement.

Kaoru and Kojiro broke their silence to laugh.

"Okay, okay. We'll explain." Kaoru promised, sighing softly after a good amount of laughing.

Kojiro cleared his throat and started to explain.

"Seven years ago, before I went to Italy to the culinary school, Karou and I buried a time capsule to ourselves with letters, memories and that sort of thing. And the date we settled to get it back is tomorrow." he said.

Reki, Langa, Miya and Shadow looked at each other slyly, and Kaoru didn't like it at all what he knew they were about to say.

"Absolutely not." Kaoru deadpanned before anyone could say anything.

"But we want to help you to find it!" Reki retorted.

The rest of their friends nodded frantically in agreement, and Kaoru looked at Kojiro, sighing.

"There's only one problem." Kojiro said.

"Which is?" Miya asked.

The couple looked worriedly at each other and heaved a sigh.

"We buried it under a palm tree but we don't remember exactly under which one was." Kojiro pointed out.

Their friends groaned.

"Then it's gonna be like finding a treasure!" Reki exclaimed, looking at the bright side like he always did.

"Treasure hunting!" Shadow shouted excitedly.

Kaoru buried his face in his hands, groaning loudly.

"Why have you told them?" he asked his husband.

"Hey! You're the one that promised to tell them." Kojiro retorted with an amused smile.

Their friends hummed in agreement, nodding.

Kaoru groaned again.

"Whatever." he finally said.

The next day, they all gathered together in front of the couple's house really early in the morning. Everyone brought a shovel with them, and Kaoru nearly killed Reki when he happily exclaimed that it looked like they were gonna bury a corpse.

"I drew this map pointing out the area where we buried it. We don't remember the exact location, but luckily it won't be a very large area... I think." Kaoru explained.
