Drizzlosis; the distinctive calmness one feels while listening to rainfalls ambiance.
And as M/n stared out of the window watching the heavy rain hit the pane of glass, that's exactly what he felt. The room was dim, the only light source being the yellowish hue coming from his desk lamp and the moonlight sifting in through the window. He turned off the calming noise of 'Heaven up there' by Palace and listened to the soft rainfall, before slowly closing his textbook and standing up out of his desk chair, raising his hands above his head before letting the fall back to his sides with a deep sigh. He was nearing the start of his second year of high school, and it was starting to weigh down onto him.
He tucked his chair under his desk before ruffling his hair and walking over to his bed, plugging his phone in, making himself comfortable under the warm blanket, a contrast the cold air coming from his air conditioner. He huffed silently, before turning over and slowly but surely letting sleep overtake him.
As he blinked his eyes open, he was met with the same sight, the place him and his soulmate were supposed to meet every night. He had been coming here every night for the past four years, and not once has he met his soulmate. His once childish optimism was now gone and replaced with the knowing thoughts that he wasn't going to meet his soulmate anytime soon, and although he would never admit it, that fact did make him tear up at times, wishing his soulmate would come greet him, laugh with him and love him. He knew he had one, he wasn't stupid. He figured that if he didn't, these dreams would stop. He could sense his soulmate whenever they were in the dream world.
He felt a pull towards them, as always. He didn't want to bother following it, he stopped after a few years, but in his heart, it tugged at him, until it became unbearable, painful even, as if someone was trying to pull his heart out of his chest. He winced after another pull, almost like an invisible force, and stood up to his feet, following the ferocious tugging.
He stumbled over a few tree roots, cursing the fact that the dreamworld was this forest again, it changing every year. He exited the small clearing he was in and neared a larger one. This wasn't anything new, considering he'd traversed through it multiple times, but what made his eyes widen comically, was the person sitting in the middle of it all, back facing him, while they played with what looked like a bunny, but with that being the least of his concerns, he didn't bother putting much thought into it.
His mind was a mess, wondering what he should do. This was his soulmate. Does he walk away? Pretend he never saw him? Although this was his soulmate, he did resent them a bit for avoiding him for four years. Without realizing, he started walking, and the person must've heard his footsteps because he turned his head quickly and M/n almost choked on his spit. This had to have been the prettiest person he had ever seen. He had cat like eyes, that were wide with surprise and caution, a cute pointed nose that turned up a little bit at the end, full lips and cheeks that were a slight red tone.
"Holy shit.." M/n breathily muttered, blatantly staring at the male, his mouth agape like a fish. The male scrambled to stand up, now facing M/n fully. "Uh..you- wait- you-.." M/n attempted to speak, but ultimately failed, too frazzled to speak.
Kenma frowned, looking to the side. M/n continued gaping like a fish, staring wide eyed at the male with a blush on his cheeks. Kenma cleared his throat, "are.. you okay?" He asked, hesitantly making eye contact. M/n choked on his spit, patting his chest and coughing, small tears slipping out of his eyes. Kenma looked at him like he was insane, with a hint of confusion and worry present in his eyes. "Y-eah!" M/n responded, voice cracking a little.
'Holy fuck he has a nice voice.' I thought to myself, clearing my throat. "Yeah, I'm fine." I smiled at him, wiping the few stray tears from coughing. The male across from me nodded his head slightly, looking everywhere but me. Seeing as he wasn't going to speak anytime soon, I took initiative and said the thing that's been on my mind for a while now. "You.. we're avoiding me, right?" I asked as I scratched the back of my neck, eyeing him. I watched as he tensed and opened his mouth, only to close it again. He shuffled on his feet before shutting his eyes and looking to the side again. "Yes." He stated.
I nodded with a frown. "Okay.. uh, why?" I asked cautiously, not wanting to anger him. "You.. I don't- I didn't want a soulmate." He said, stumbling a few times, trying to find the right words. I bit the inside of my cheek and nodded once again. Sure, it hurt to hear my soulmate say that but I could only hope that he was here now because he wanted to meet me. "Why are you here.. now? Why did you decide to meet me today?" I asked, lowering my head slightly. "Uh.. that- I don't know.." he spoke.
I pursed my lips at the vague answer, but nodded my head anyways. "Okay, well if you don't mind me asking.. what's your name?" I asked. He hesitated, messing with his fingers and shuffling his feet. "You know, telling me would be the least you can do, considering I've been in here by myself for the past four years." I remarked, staring at him.
He jumped at my words, shutting his eyes tight. I knew saying that was petty, but I was salty about it and couldn't help myself. "It's..!" he started, but my vision was slowly fading into black. He muttered what I could only guess as his name, but it was too late, my hearing was already fading from the dream world to the real world, where I could hear the sound of my alarm clock ringing obnoxiously. I woke up, sitting up in my bed, breathing heavily.
"Shit! God damnit!" I cursed.
a/n: I'm sorry! I wanted to do more buildup before they met, but I had no idea how to end this and i personally enjoy it more when they meet faster, but that's just me! Don't worry, there will be more information about them in their daily lives and more build up before they become like lovers! I will also be making a one shot book for seme male reader stories, because I know many people prefer one shots! This is the first book I've ever made though, so I'm sorry if it's not to your liking! Please give me some constructive criticism and feedback so I know what to improve on and what you guys want to see!
