Nefelibata; one who lives in the clouds of their own imagination or dreams.
If you asked, most would say this was kenma kozume. Many people claimed him to have been "living in a dreamland, not ready to face the real world." And he would agree with that fact without hesitation. He escaped reality using his video games and he wasn't ashamed. Something he said often was; "one day, I'm going to live on the moon, free of the prying eyes of the people, free of the burdens we deal with, and free of this soulmate bond." He hated the idea of a soulmate, he wanted to choose his own fate, his own path.
"Kenma!" His mother called from downstairs. "Kenma!!" She called again, slight anger present in her voice. Kenma lazily walked down the stairs, phone in hand, dressed in his high school uniform. "Hurry up!" His mother growled, ushering him out the door, placing his lunchbox in his bag. Once he was out, she stood in the doorway. "You have everything?" She asked. He looked up, nodding his head yes. "Alright, I love you, put your phone away when you get in class." She stated firmly, kissing his forehead and turning him back around. "Love you too.." he mumbled, walking out of the front gate, heading to his school.
When he arrived, he saw his friend kuroo waiting for him, two packs of breakfast in hand. The food made him speed up his steps, putting his phone in his pocket so he doesn't trip. "Hey Kenma! I thought you wouldn't come." Kuroo says, grinning. "Yeah.." kenma replies, taking the food from Kuroos hands and setting it in his bag. "We have 4 minutes until the bell, so we should hurry." Kuroo says, changing his outdoor shoes for his indoor ones, Kenma doing the same. Kenma just hummed, leaving Kuroo behind, heading to his grades floor. "Ah- hey! No goodbye?!" Kuroo yelled after him after he realized he left. Kenma just raised his hand and waved goodbye, not looking at him. Kuroo huffed, turning the other way and heading to his floor.
Once Kenma had gotten in class and sat in his designated seat, middle row by the window, he looked out and sighed. He had met his soulmate last night and he wasnt sure how to act. He was debating on telling Kuroo, or even his mother, but his mother had thought he had already been interacting with his soulmate, making up fake stories to satisfy her imaginative mind. When his soulmate had asked why he decided to meet them today, he really couldnt answer. Maybe, just maybe he wanted to open up to the idea a little more? As his teacher walked through the door, the face and voice of his soulmate flashed through his mind. He knew he was going to want to meet him more now that he had seen his face, a pull was normal for soulmates. You couldn't help but want to be together if you had met, it was inevitable and he knew it.
Kenma had had thoughts about wanting to meet his soulmate before, but hid them away in the back of his thoughts. maybe his body not running when he sensed his soulmate getting closer was its way of telling him that maybe those thoughts are resurfacing full force? As the teacher started the lesson, he couldn't dwell on it any longer, clenching his eyes shut, rubbing his face and facing forward, trying to save his brain power for the idiots at volleyball practice.
"Shoot."
"Kozume?"
"Sorry."
He forgot to eat his breakfast.
