PIPER PICKED UP THE CALL         as soon as the ringtone sounded, she kept her mic open but not her camera, she usually didn't turn it on actually. Raven and Jasper did have their cameras on, but James didn't

"Guys c'mon, turn the camera on" Raven whined as they laid their head on their hand "it's boring if i can't see you"

"ok fine" Piper sighed and clicked on the camera icon on her screen "Are you happy now?"

"Jamesss" Jasper smiled "It's your turn James" and so he did, James turned his camera on "Wh-"

"There, it's on" he said, but as he was wearing mask and glasses we couldn't see him "This will be everything that you'll get"

"Fair enough" Shay smiled drinking her drink "I have art homework, so i'll work on that while we're on call, yeah?"

"Sure...So guys, what are we doing for the house then" Raven put their hands together, in an evil way

"So, i have an idea" Jasper mentioned "Because we're ghosts, maybe we can decor the room that's assigned to us as an abandoned place and do awful makeup to scare people" he giggled

"that sounds great! I did the decor of a community house for Christmas once, so i can help you with that ambient" Raven said

"i'm fast, i could run behind people slowly so they feel chased" Piper laughed "oh Ranboo, you're tall, you're intimidating enough" 

"i would probably just stand there in middle of the room and stare at people to make them uncomfortable" He said proudly,  they could sense a smile despite not being able to see his expressions

"that's amazing guys!" Raven cheered as they stood up to get a bottle "this here, is blood" they pointed at it

"What?!" Piper flinched, opening her eyes widely and her jaw dropped

"Fake blood dumbass, it's fake blood" They rolled their eyes and laughed

"You almost gave me a heart attack Rae" 

"we can use this for scaring people, i'm going to put coloring into a glass of water to make it seem like i'm drinking the blood, booooo" the ginger was enthusiastic about the fact of creeping everyone out 

The call went on for about 2 hours, the conversations they kept were random and the topics weren't specific, but it was entertaining and it certainly helped Piper finish her homework. The call ended when it was time for dinner for all of them, so they just left.

Piper walked downstairs to greet her parents who came home from work, she glanced at the table, her dad putting down the plates for her mom to serve the food, Lisa and Peter were already sitting on the table, soon, Piper made her way and sat next to her siblings. October, as mentioned before, was the family's favorite month, the Shay parents weren't really happy about letting their kids eat junk food or too much sugar, but as for fall season, the kids were allowed.

At 7pm of October first, 2021, the family sat down to eat dinner. Ben－Shay's dad－, brought fried chicken to the house for the first time in 3 years, and Wendy－their mom－prepared a simple small pumpkin pie to eat after. 

Talking about their day, Piper mentioned accidentally that her group was in charge of the haunted house, her family looked at her blankly, to then crack a smile and cheer for the news

"Honey that's great!" her mom said, smiling widely at her daughter "it's the first time you get to participate in a haunted house!"  

"Yeah! I'll be a ghost with other classmates" She giggled softly, biting a chicken wing "With a new dude and Jasper"

"What about Rae?" Ben asked, all the family knew and loved Raven

"Rae is the person who receives people in the door, like the host"

"Well, that suits them" Peter commented 

"Who's the new guy? The tall dude you were talking to today?" Lisa asked, making the rest of the family drop their jaws

"New guy? A crush?" her mom teased her jokingly 

"uh no, i met him today, we're friends, his name is James" Piper said, blushing in awkwardness 

The family continued with their food, teasing Piper jokingly for her new friend, but obviously respecting her relationship with James. After finishing her dinner, Piper went back upstairs to play some games and then head to bed after the day was over.
