"Yup, let's go" Peter grabbed his keys "I'M GOING OUT WITH PIPER AND AILEE" he yelled to his parents who were upstairs and a distant 'ok' gave him the pass to get out of the house. The Shay parents were really relaxed as long as their kids reported where and with whom they were going somewhere.
When Peter was in high school, he met Aileena Downers, his best friend for years until he entered college. Ben and Wendy －the Shay parents－, suspected they liked each other, but then months after Ailee revealed they had a girlfriend and Peter was asexual, it was shocking for them, but receiving Aileena into the family was one great decision they took.
Aileena was part of the family anyways, she was the cool sibling for Lisa and Piper, but recently left for studies in other states. Peter said he had found them at the store, and conversated a lot about going out one day to keep up with everything and so they did. A breakfast in Hollywood café, the place where Peter and Ailee met (remember they lived there since Ranboo lives there irl) and just chat for a while as a small break before continuing with their students busy lives
"Oh Peter, mom's calling" Piper mentioned picking up his phone from the cup holder of the car "do i pick up?" Peter nodded to her question "Hello mom"
"안녕 자기, 형님과 통화할 수 있습니까? (Hello dear, can I talk to your brother?)" their mom asked through the phone in Korean, the language she usually spoke in to her children
"어, 그는 지금 운전 중이야 (Uh, he's driving right now)" Piper answered "그럼 스피커를 넣어볼까? (Do i put in on speaker then?)"
"예, 부탁합니다 (yes, please)" Piper put the call on speaker and did a sign to her brother so he would speak
"Hello?" Peter said
"안녕, 당신은 나에게 당신이 외출한다고 말했지만 당신은 나에게 어디로 (Hi! , you told me you were going out, but you didn't tell me where)" She asked, in a somewhat alarming tone
"헐리우드 카페에서 아침을 먹고 (Having breakfast at the hollywood café)" he answered
"오, 좋아, 소중한 것이 필요하면 전화주세요! 잘 지내세요 !! (oh, alright, please call me if you need anything dear! take care)" she hung up the call and Peter and Piper were now safe to leave for their destiny
"Mom is so hard working for making us keep our culture, is amazing" Piper commented after the call "Dad doesn't speak to us in Korean"
"Dad isn't Korean, Piper" Peter took a left turn "He just speaks the language and understands it, but he's american"
"Yes i know, but if he speaks korean, he should reinforce the language too" Piper shrugged her shoulders and looked at her phone "When are we arriving?"
"In about now" he parked the car carefully and then removed the keys when it was parked "get down, Ailee must be waiting"
They got out of the car and walked towards the entrance of the restaurant, it was a popular place where people usually had to-go breakfasts and lunches, it was popular since decades ago, cheap and good, probably why it was always so busy
"May i offer you a table?" The worker asked as soon as he saw the two of them enter the place "Or have you already reserved one?"
"Aileena Downers" Peter said smiling, naming the reserved table, the worker nodded and walked them around to find Ailee sitting alone in a table, waiting for them "Hey!" he hugged Aileena tightly
"Hi guys! Take a seat please" They smiled and greeted Piper as well "It's so good seeing you girl, have you missed me?"
"Oh have i?! Of course Ailee! It's been such a long time, you look amazing!!" Piper smiled widely and sat in front of her
"Nah guys, you both look amazing, i just dyed my hair heheh"
they received the menus and started talking right away, everyone chose their food and not a lot after it arrived. 1 hour went by eating the wonderful food of the place, and another hour talking, and then another and after four hours of chatting without end, Piper decided to ask them a question, crucial halloween time question
"Ailee, you have lived here for more than I do, do you know any spooky abandoned places for a halloween exploring date?"
they dropped their jaw and smiled in an evil way, put their hands together and giggled "Oh Do i? Do i actually?" looked over at Peter, who was smiling nervously terrified, knowing what was coming "I don't know if i do, Peter?"
"Don't look at me, we've had crazy experiences I would like to forget" he did funny gestures with his arms
"like that time we almost got shot at in the Byron hotel" Ailee laid back
"No way! You guys entered the Byron hotel?!" Piper's eyes widened and she leaned forward shocked
"Yeah, or that time Lizzy almost fell down on an J's amusement park ride" they giggled "Your brother almost broke a bone on the mad mouse ride"
"Yes, and you said 'oh it will be fun' they said 'you won't get hurt' they said" he rolled his eyes as Aileena laughed
"Bro are you kidding?! That's so cool, can I go?!" She looked over at her brother and smiled "Why have you never told me this?!"
"Shsssshhhh, don't tell mom or dad please" he giggled and then put his finger in his lips "You can go, don't get me in here"
"There's one place i haven't explore yet, but I'm sure you can go there for you date" They smiled "the Alton Barlow abandoned county hospital" (A/N: Fake hospital i just invented for the story)
"NO" Peter said strongly
"YES" Piper contradicted him
"Oh no, no, no, no" Peter hugged Piper "Not letting you going to that place, and you aren't taking her"
"Aw man, please Pete, I'll be safe, i'll go with James"
"Yeah dude, don't be so boring...Wait, who's James?" Aileena laid their head on their hands and leaned forward as they raised an eyebrow in a flirty way.
"Just a friend" Piper blushed
"-cough- crush -cough-" Peter laughed and his sister hit him in the arm
"Shut up" Piper said jokingly to her brother
