The lecture was long, but after the class, they took the mid-morning snack. They sat together in the school's dining and ate their food, usually it was something simple like a fruit and juice or a sandwich, the morning break was their favorite, it was when the food was still fresh. 

The school's fair was usually in a large field where all the attractions were going to be. A 15 minute bus trip to the place and everything was going to be good, Piper －exclusively－couldn't fit on her skin of excitement. 

Everyone got off the bus when they got there. 

The old structure of the house was still there and the mechanical games were old but always working and an accident has never happened, actually, the teachers said they bought the stuff like 10 years ago, from a really good company. The food stands and the 'arcade' type games were always set up a few days before, since those were small things. 

They were asked to put on comfortable close that they wouldn't mid to rip or get real dirty. Keeping in mind that the house was really old, and they always had to clean it before the halloween fair. Also, at the rest of the year, people sneaked in there, and they knew it because they found old glass broken bottles, old shirts and food packaging, so it was obvious the place needed maintenance. 

It was a normal house, 3 floors, and 4 rooms with 2 and a half bathrooms. No one knows why the owners abandoned it. Rumors say that it was because it was far from the civilization, others say that it was actually haunted and abandoned because of that. The place was empty but still everything there was left behind, people just stole stuff.

So it was time. Piper's year got close to the door and then came in greeted by a horrendous smell and dust. Depending on their role in the house, they had to clean the room they were scaring people in. Shay, James and Jasper chose the piano room, because Jasper knew how to play the piano and wanted to use it as a prop. Raven was cleaning the entrance since they were the 'host'. 

James cleaned the walls and a little of the corners near the roof, because he was tall, Jasper cleaned the surfaces and windows and Piper swoop the floors. The dust the whole class took out of each room was technically enough to make a whole mountain of dirt.

After cleaning it was the time to decorate. They brought LED lights and put them in the floor corner, then installed a fog machine, so it looked like lit up mist with Halloween colors. We couldn't forget the mannequin with Jasper's clothes that was just laying 'dead' on the piano as his corpse while his spirit played the piano in middle of the chaos. They had fake blood that Raven lent to them, so they smeared it all over Jasper's "corpse" and on the floor to make a path where they were standing. Wrote creepy stuff on the walls as well and in the end it looked like a horror crime scene. 

"Cheers!" Piper said giggling as she took a glass of wine filled with the fake blood

"For our amazing work" James followed

"And because we're going to scare the shit out of people" Jasper laughed 

They held the glass close to them and drank, to then actually liking the flavor of it, it didn't smell good but it tasted like chocolate milk. Raven had their tricks. 

After they were done and proud of their scene, they went out to see Raven, who did great having spiderwebs, lights, blood, pumpkins and a lot of other stuff around the whole entrance, and it looked really amazing. 

Everyone finished and so everyone got on the bus to get back to the school, it was already late, so they would just get their backpacks and leave for their houses. 

Piper and her friends went over to Raven's house to discuss the fair's thing and practice the makeup for the next day. 

"Are you willing to put contacts on?" Raven asked Piper, holding a box of white contacts that they bought some weeks ago 

"Uh, yes sure" Piper nodded while she applied blush to her face

"Ok come here" Raven took a contact in their index finger and tried holding Piper's face to put it on her

"WOAH WOAH WAIT WAIT!" Piper laughed nervously pulling herself back accidentally falling on James, he caught her

"Damn Piper" Jasper laughed as she got away from James quickly, still laughing and both of them blushing 

"Let me put them on you" Raven still insisted on the contacts as they giggled 

"I'll put them on myself Raven, don't worry" Piper stood up and went to the bathroom to wash her hands "Give them here" she came back  and Rae gave her the contacts

"Awwee i don't want to see you putting those on" Jasper covered his eyes in disgust, he didn't like contacts because of how difficult it was to put them on

"uuuuuuuuuuuh....Ok, look, they're in" Shay crouched in front of Jasper with wide blank eyes 

"FUCK WHY DO YOU-" Jasper flinched and hugged Ranboo who was singing next to him "Oh god sorry James"

James laughed "It's fine, she looks cool, why don't you like contacts anyways? I think they're pretty amazing" He patted Jasper's shoulder and smiled
