Time skip, a week and a half

Just 2 days were left for the school's Halloween fair, their friendship grew close in the weeks before the haunted house, they usually talked everyday and hung out together. Especially Piper and James. The group calls lasted hours but usually the ones that were even until late night were them. 

"Are you excited for tomorrow?" Ranboo asked through the phone, it was the night before the preparation of the house, the set where everything was going to be

"Oh yes!" Piper said cheerfully "just the decorations of everything and painting and stuff, i think it's cool"

"I'm excited as well, but i'm scared i'll mess up the place or something" He laughed softly since it was late for both of them "I bet you'll do great"

"Awee, thanks dude, but i bet you'll do amazing as well" Piper smiled and Ranboo giggled as well "it's 11:48" she sighed

"Yeah, it's kinda late"  Ranboo said "You should go to bed"

"Yes, but i would like you to go to bed as well" 

"No, sleep bad, minecraft good" Ranboo said in a funny voice "but, you do need to sleep" 

"No, no, minecraft good but at reasonable times. Please sleep James"  Shay said, emphasizing the word 'reasonable'

"uh alright" he said "but let's stay on call" he said in a really soft way, actually, in a low tone "Or no, it's ok if you don't want to"

"No it's fine" Piper giggled "we can stay on call, sure" she smiled 

Piper got up and went to brush her teeth, then came back and plugged in her earphones to her phone, then placed it on a head pillow next to her,  that way she felt like she was talking to him right there. They eventually fell asleep because after all, both of their voices felt calming to each other in a certain way. 

James yawned "Good morning"  his deep voice woke up Piper "Oh wait, i woke you up, sorryyy"

"No it's fine" Piper yawned as she scratched her eyes "i was already waking up" she turned around to face her phone "How was your sleep?"

"You just slept with me and ask me how i slept?" Ranboo laughed "Wait, that sounds wrong" he said nervous making Shay laugh softly "I slept well, i don't remember my dreams though" 

"I'm glad you had a nice sleep" she smiled

"What about you?" 

"I slept great as well, it's easier to sleep with your voice in the background" She mentioned, making Ranboo stutter as she finished the sentence "Did i make you uncomfortable? I'm really sorry" She pouted

"Oh no! Not at all! I just wasn't expecting that, it's fine hehe" He laughed "Well, actually i'll see you in school in like an hour, so i'm gonna get ready, see ya!"

"See you later!" She said as she pressed the hang up button on her phone. A smile was drawn on her face as she thought about her friend. She liked him. No she didn't, just a friend. Perhaps....No.

Piper did her bed in a rush then showered and went downstairs to have breakfast with her siblings. Halloween cereal, Reese's Halloween cereal. Peter served it for Piper because he knew that the house preparation was that day, and he knew how important it was for her. 

She was just in time to take the bus, usually, Peter would drop Lisa and Piper off at the school, but since the bus was just on time to pick them up, they went on the bus. So the 3 of them had time for everything. 

Piper looked around to find Raven, Jasper or James, but none of them were there. Lisa was actually pretty lucky, finding classmates she was friends with and sitting with them. Shay sat down in a middle left seat, by herself, it wasn't a problem, she had her music and daydreams to keep her busy on the way to school.

"Hey" James said, sitting next to Piper a few houses later "I didn't knew you took the bus" 

"Oh hey dude!" She was surprised, took off her earphones and smiled at him "It's- It's actually the first time i take the bus" 

"oh really? that's nice, it's great to see you here tho, i always sit alone" He smiled 

They continued to talk in just a few minutes before arriving to the school. Piper's expression changed to a disgusting and surprised look after entering the hall, it wasn't anything bad or illegal, but she didn't like it. A couple making out in front of her locker. She decided to just walk around it and she thought it was going to be better to look for her books after her first class. James noticed it.

"Uh hello?" James said, tapping the shoulder of the boy "Excuse me...?"

"What the fuck do you want?" He answered, a boy none of them had seen before, probably a bully

"This is my friend's Piper locker, so maybe you could just move a second so she uses it...?" He said, intimidated by the boy, Ranboo could be tall, but the other boy was buffer and looked strong

"Uh yes, sorry-" The girl said, being cut off by her boyfriend

"No, we're using this spot" He got away from the girl now, looking at Ranboo in the eyes

"Ranboo, it's fine, i'll just do it the other class-" Piper sighed, pulling James's arm her way 

"No, Shay, it's like 7:30 am, not a time to make out and not even in public" He seemed mad "We're teenagers and it's a school" 

"Listen here idiot" The guy stood in front of Ranboo looking at him menacingly "My girlfriend and I are just doing our thing"

"And that's fine, but not in the main hall of the scho-" He was cut off by a punch he received from the other boy 

"The fuck you say to me little shit?" He punched him again "Aw look at him, his nose is bleeding" He laughed at Ranboo who was trying hard to keep standing up 

"Dude, cut it off!" Piper yelled at him 

"Oh are you his girlfriend? Let me tell you something, it's better to be with anyone but this fucking giraffe boy here" He laughed in an evil way, the looked back at James, who was laying on the lockers on his side "Just one punch and he's already dead, you're a weak freak, and why do you always wear those mask and glasses hu-" As he was about to take them off James, his girlfriend interrupted and held his hand so he wouldn't take them off

"Mike, leave him alone, if he wants to wear it let him do it" The blond girl held his boyfriend's hand strongly and looked at him with disappointment 

"I thought you were on my side" 'Mike' complained to the girl, to then without noticing receive a punch back from James "WHAT THE FUCK IDIOT, DO YOU WANT TO FIGHT?"
