Ranboo had texted the one friend he could trust with love and simply life advice, Wilbur. He wasn't scared of the hospital -well, just a bit-, he was scared of being awkward and scaring Piper herself. James had tried to be friend other girls in the past, but none of them succeeded, but in a way, Piper Shay sounded like his dream girl and she was just, different.

The group was going dressed as ghosts, it fit them and they liked it.  For Ranboo, it was the best friend group he could be in, after his past toxic and chaotic friendships (in a none positive way), this one was the best, supportive, nice, warm, loving. It was a friendship that just clicked.

Ranboo had made online friends after his real ones didn't like him, or just used him, or just "James looks cool, but he really isn't". He asked all of his friends what to do, because he wasn't that confident. 'Arms Tonite' by mother mother blasted in his earphones as he thought what to do, only a few hours before going trick or treating. That's when his friends started responding to his texts. 

Wilbur had told James to not freak out and just act naturally around her, like usual, and that it was better if he didn't hide if he was scared, it's not good to pretend. 

Tubbo said he shouldn't be worried because Ranboo's everyone's favorite boy, and that he was amazing and that Piper loved him.

Niki told him the sweetest words and that he would be really cute next to her and that he "got this"

Tommy told him to not be a pussy and to kiss a woman for him. Tommy's advice wasn't helpful. 

And so, he dressed up, put a blanket, a crown and glasses over his head and walked towards Jasper's house, where they decided to meet up to go trick or treating.

Piper had left her house jumping up and down in excitement. She had told Aileena to pick them up at 9:00 p.m. at Raven's house, after trick or treating around the whole neighborhood. 

As then she knocked on the direction that was given, Jasper's house. She was received by his older brother -Shay didn't knew Jasper had an older brother- a curly dirty blond haired boy, wearing a megadeth hoodie and a tongue piercing. Then she discovered that Jasper never spoke about him because he was kind of abusive, 5 years older than him, Arthur Solace was 21.

Arthur liked to bully Jasper because he was panromantic, called him gay slurs and just hated him for it, one time he tore down Jasper's LGBT flag, the only one he had in his room. the 21-year-old used to steal from Jas's piggy bank, he said that "jasper doesn't deserve this money", after of course, he earned it. Arthur was close to his dad, who also didn't like Jasper, they would mock him and just treat him in gross ways. Arthur once wanted to drown his little brother on a pool while on vacation, their mom stopped him and didn't let Jasper in the pool again while his older son was there, for example. 

He behaved nicely while he was around other people that weren't related to him. While Piper was waiting for Jasper to finish getting ready, Arthur invited her into the house, she sat next to him a little uncomfortable, still not knowing why Jasper never spoke about his family, and his family was never home when they hung out there. 

"So, are you his girlfriend?" He asked, offering her a pepsi can 

"No, he's just my friend" She said "no, thank you"

"what's your name?" he sat down, raising an eyebrow and the sipping from the metal can "I'm Arthur"

"It's nice to meet you" An awkward smile was drawn on her face "I'm Piper" Arthur couldn't really see her face, since she was covered by a white bed sheet and glasses 

"Nice, faceless Piper" he sat closer to her and tried to lift the blanket to see her face, Piper stood quietly and let him do it, it was just a blanket, and she was wearing clothes that completely covered her because of the cold weather "You are very pretty, Piper" 

"Thank you" she said, pulling herself back 

"I like asians, where are you from?" he asked, smirking 

"um, my mom is Korean and my dad is American" she smiled uncomfortable, placing the blanket on her face again 

"oh no, no, don't cover, i wanna see your face" he put the pepsi on the living room's coffee table and touched Piper's left cheek "Can you, talk to me in Korean?" 

"I...I don't usually speak Korean" she looked away "hey can you stop, you're making me uncomfortable"

"Oh yes sure" he pulled away from her face and laid back in the sofa, moved his hand down and squeezed Piper's thigh 

"Hey, I said stop" Piper said firmly, standing up, getting away from Arthur. The door bell saved her, he stood up to open the door, it was Raven and James "Hey guys!" She smiled and then gave Raven signs about what was happening 

"Hey guys, i'm done" Jasper came running downstairs, he had clearly heard Piper told his brother to stop "Let's go, it's already 7:15" 

"Have fun" Arthur smirked, making Piper sick, the 4 of them walked out the door and Shay didn't say a thing, they just spoke about other topics as they arrived to the houses that were decorated. 

James used to stare in dead silence at the people who gave candy, protecting his friend group and making sure they weren't given an apple or fruit gums. Just chocolate and good candy. They all used the teenager power to scare kids and then just play a bit with them, they weren't monsters. 

And so they made a whole mountain of candy as soon as they got to Raven's house, and ate for a while before it was 9 p.m. 

Raven and Jasper stayed home and made a horror movie marathon, starting with the classic Freddie Kruger movie, and James and Piper left. 

"Oh hey, nice to meet you!" Aileena smiled when seeing Ranboo for the first time "I'm Ailee, this is my girlfriend Liz and you're James right? Piper told me about you!" they smiled friendly

"Oh yeah! It's great to meet you too" James smiled shyly as he presented himself

A long car ride until they got to the hospital, they left the blankets and glasses in the car and got some flashlights and necessary things to go explore the place.
