LEVIATHAN: Game Over

*Leviathan's POV*

"I don't understand. I thought... I thought you really liked me as your protagonist in the game." Y/N rambled as her eyes were completely fixated on the cartridge she got from the trash. Her hands began to tremble at the fear of losing another user. "It's Rosa, isn't it? You still like her. Am I right, Leviathan?"

"What?! No! Where did you get that idea from?" Confused by her assumptions, I defensively exclaimed. Indeed I was head over heels for Rosa, but that was before. What happened in between us was stuck in the past and the past alone. I have no feelings for her anymore and in fact, I already fell for Y/N. But why's this happening?

"THEN EXPLAIN, GODDAMMIT!" She yelled at the top of her lungs, voice screeching and sounding painful. One could tell that she's mad and emotional at the moment. "If you hate me that much, you... You could've just.. Just ended the game a long time ago."

My feet just moved on their own towards her, then stopped when we're only a meter away from each other. Her tears weakened everything about me. Seeing the person you love cry just like that was really one of the most agonizing things ever. The surrounding lights and the illuminating waters from my massive fish tanks glimmered in the dark room of a shut-in like me, being able to see her movements and emotions.

"I threw away the cartridge because I don't want to lose you!" Casting all out my courage to say what I really feel was what startled her. After my confession, she became speechless, unable to figure out my real intention behind the incident.

"W-What?" I heard her breath hitching as she held back the tears.

"I consulted Solomon about the curse in your game. We tried ways to nullify it and set you free, so that... you'll become a real person and never worry about disappearing anymore. I'm really scared to lose you." My face felt hot because of the honesty I showed her. "I... love you. I really do love you, Y/N. You may not understand why but I see you greater than any of my moe waifus. In fact, y-y-you're not just a waifu, but a completely... wife material."

Her river once again flowed with the overwhelming angst in the atmosphere. But what made me more relieved was that she's now smiling. "Why are you being so cheesy right now? It's making me cry and I don't know why." She sniffled while chuckling through her happy tears.

"It's b-because of you! AGGGGHH! Don't make me say those things again. I don't wanna morph into a normie." I stuttered, cringing at my own words just a while ago. Although, I could say it wasn't that bad if it was for her sake. After all, she deserved nothing but love.

We were already at the peak of reconciling when a holographic glitch appeared before our very eyes. Y/N's expressions changed in horror, in depth of what's clearly happening. She constantly shook her head as she tried fixing the program all on her own. Only then I realized what was going on was when I saw her glitching as well, slowly turning into bits of binary codes from her feet upwards.

"Y/N... You... You're glitching."
