*Y/N's POV*

"Oi, Y/N, we need to head home no-"

The voice that was a few meters away behind me said this, I jumped in surprise knowing that it was Mammon. I was in a panic, after all, I did not want him to know how sick I was, nor make him worry even the least about it. I already wiped the obvious blood stains that were once stuck inside my cold palms and threw away the evidence. It's better this way, because I wanted to be certain enough that I'll get better in no time, so that they wouldn't be needing to find out about my sickness at all. It's not like I'd die because of it, right?

Would I?

"Oh, hey Solomon. So you're accompanying Y/N." Mammon said this casually but one could sense that there's a hint of daggers he's shooting towards the yet another platinum-headed male beside me. "I guess my girlfriend seems to be so close to you."

I'm well aware of the tension rising up from the two, although Solomon just shrugged it off coolly that ticked Mammon up a bit. The sorcerer giggled at the sight then gave me a gentle pat on the head, more like teasing the entitled avatar of greed. I looked at them both in worry before obeying their gestures to leave them alone to discuss something important. They knew that I knew what was up but both did not want me to hear them arguing with each other for such a petty thing. After all, I value them a lot; one that stands like a real brother, and one that treats me more than just being lovers. They both protected me in their own ways that I terribly hope that they'd reconcile.

Nonetheless, I respected their order for good and left them to talk anyway. I know Solomon won't hurt Mammon just as Mammon won't hurt Solomon either. I've been with them for quite a long time now.

*Mammon's POV*

"You know... If you're mad at me, just say it. No need to pretend." He took an outbreath before continuing his sentences. Calmly, he smiled towards me with pity and concern, knowing that his expressions were genuinely true. It scares me... as if something's wrong. "Y/N is much like family to me. More than friends, actually, in a sense that you have experienced yourself."

Crossing my arms in disbelief, made my own mind believe that this was one of his tricks again, I replied, "So, what are ya trynna say? Ya want me to entrust Y/N with you just like that?"

"I don't even care a slightest bit if you don't trust me. But remember that I'm a human like her who understands her more. Never have I thought of putting her to the pits of hell like before, I mean metaphorically. Her life in the human world became too painful for her to bear, so I was really hoping that she'd find a sense of security here." He began speaking while gazing at the sky with deep melancholy.

And by his tone, only proved how serious he was to every detail he gave me. But I still could not comprehend the context of this situation, yet questioning my own jealousy over him. The way she looked at Solomon was unsettling enough for me that I couldn't stomach it. I just couldn't help the fact that he's way closer towards Y/N rather than me.

Is it wrong to feel a sense of jealousy? Even just a bit?

"I already know that her life's garbage back there. And yes, I've been trying my very best to make her feel happy and safe around us. She doesn't need to go back to a world where everyone despises her, in that world full of deceit and deception. But..." I closed my eyes to regain my composure as I speak these words with full honesty, kinda opening up to him. But I ain't been aiming to be his friend, I just wanna know his true intentions; intentions that would make me feel to allow him in her circle. My eyes fluttered open at the sight of the numerous stars glittering the night skies, breathing in to begin my explanation. "I still can't help overly sheltering her from everyone, even my brothers, at the fear that she might get hurt anytime."
