Day 20: Movie Night

"Are you sure you can handle it?" America asked Russia. Tonight was movie night and they were going to watch a ghost movie. And look, she knew Russia can't handle ghost stories due to his superstition and fear of ghosts. But he had picked the movie before she could say anything. She was a bit nervous about what was going to happen. "I know that it's October but you never did well with ghost movies."

"Да. I can handle it. I'm not a little Colony." Russia insisted. America smiled a bit before kissing his cheek. Then she leaned on his arm and hugged it. She pressed the play button and the movie played. As the title card popped up, she could feel Russia tensed a little bit. She rubbed Russia's arm, calming the Slav down a bit. "I'm...I'm fine. Все отлично."

She almost could believe him. Almost.

Throughout the movie, she would feel Russia tensed up and nearly jumped out of his seat. Whenever a loud bang or a jumpscare would happen, Russia would jump and nearly rip the couch cushions. When a chase scene happened, Russia would start shaking.

Okay, time to end this.

America grabbed the remote and hit stop. Russia was about to say something when America grabbed his hand and placed it on her slightly large six-month belly. She could feel Russia's hand relaxed and rubbing her belly. It didn't take long for him to adjust himself to where he was now resting his head on her belly. America rubbed his head as he listened to his babies' movements. "Are you feeling better?"

Russia didn't reply at first. He just kept listening to the babies. America had assumed that he was just trying to calm down. But she had a feeling that he was still scared a bit. Maybe she should say something.

"Big Bear, it's okay to be scared. It's what keeps us alive. But we can't let something like a fictional ghost scare us."

"It's not the ghost I'm scared of." Russia finally spoke up. America stopped rubbing his head, wanting to hear what he had to say. "I'm afraid of losing you, Аляска, and the babies to something I can't stop. Like...what if I'm not strong enough to protect you all?"

America sighed and pulled Russia up to a sitting position and cupped his cheeks. "You listen to me, Russian Federation. You are a strong Country. No other Country could rival you in power. You have the ability to protect us. If you can stop others from speaking ill of me, you can protect us just fine. And I know the best way to stay strong. All you have to do is think about us waiting for you. Alaska and the babies running to your arms for a Big Bear hug. Me kissing you and welcoming you home with a meal."

Russia smiled, kissing America. Even after everything they went through, this still made butterflies dance in her stomach. He pulled away, a trail of salvia connecting their tongues. "Would I have dessert?"

"Oh~...I'm sure I'll give you the best dessert every time~." America pulled Russia into another kiss. Oh, how she wished they could do further. To do more of their previous activities. But she couldn't risk the babies. She whined as Russia pulled away. "And I would make sure it would last long enough for us to enjoy."

"Спасибо, котёнок. I will forever think about our future." He pulled her into a hug. America smiled and hugged him back.

"Good. Now let's watch a movie that I choose this time."
