Day 1: Leaves

The smell of pumpkins and apples filled Russia's nose. He usually is the winter all year long kind of guy but every now and then, he would head off his mountain with Alaska and enjoy the autumn scenery at the park. Russia smiled as he watched Alaska run through the leaves as if they were a field of flowers. It had been three months since he had seen her and for three and half months, she'll be with him before going back to America. He wanted to spend as much time he could with his baby girl.

"Папа! Папа! Look! A pile of leaves! Can we jump in please?" Alaska yelled, pointing at the very large leaf pile. Russia looked at it. It was shorter than him by half a foot, as wide as a sports car, and was a blend of red, yellow, and orange. It was very tempting...but...

"It looks like someone worked very hard to collect those leaves. We would have to ask them first if we can jump in." Russia said gently. Alaska pouted a bit but nodded. He looked around the park but didn't see the groundskeeper. Pangea forbids if today's groundskeeper is Scotland. He highly doubts Scotland would like them jumping into the giant leaf pile. But...Alaska is small enough to jump in and not make a mess. Maybe...

Just as he was about to consider it, he heard someone clear their throat. He turned around to see Ireland standing right there with a rake in one of his hands. At least it wasn't Scotland.

"Привет Ирландия. Such a beautiful day, correct?"

"Yeah. And I'm curious what you're looking at."

"We...We were looking at the leaf...leaf tower. May we...we please jump in?" Alaska shyly asked as she hid behind Russia's leg. The older Country smiled and kneeled down to Alaska's level. She hid further behind Russia's leg and asked one more time. "May we?"

"I would say no to Russia, but I know your mother would try to skin me alive if I said no to you. Besides, it'll be Scotland's turn tomorrow and I want petty revenge. So of course little star. Jump right in!"

Alaska's smile grew and repeated thank you over and over again. As she tugged on Russia's coat, Russia gave Ireland a thankful nod before giving Alaska his hand. Two baby hands wrapped around his giant hands and he lifted the small State up. Alaska's giggles filled his ears as she was lifted above the pile of leaves. A countdown in Russian started as Russia swung his arm up and down. And as soon as one was reached, Alaska let go of Russia's hand and dropped into the pile. The leaves on top scattered and flew all over the field. Alaska sat on top of the still huge pile like a princess.

"Again! Again!" Alaska chanted from her leaf throne. He looked over at Ireland who just gave a thumbs up and a smirk. Then Russia gave Alaska his hand again before lifting her up one foot from the pile. Just seeing her smiling, Russia wanted to do anything to make sure nothing happened to his daughter. Even if he had to take over the world for it.
