Chapter Two

the audition.

stopping by a coffee shop on her way home, athena was happier than ever. drew starkey was officially her favorite person.

as she walked into the coffee shop she was hit by the scent of coffee. looking around she had spotted the one person she was hoping to see, drew.

sending him a smile she mouthed a quick thank you. the boy had smiled bigger than he ever had.

getting her coffee and leaving the shop to go back home athena was more thankful than anything.

today was truly one of the greatest days of her life.

as athena had arrived home, she smiled to herself.

this really could be a big opportunity for her. a loud ringing drug her from her thoughts, glancing at the number she furrowed her eyes in confusion. hesitant to answer the call she swiped and brought the phone to her ear.

"is this athena?" the voice said through the phone.

"this is" she replied, still hesitant.

"great, this is Jonas, the director of outerbanks. I was wondering when you would be available for an audition."

"uhh well I live here in Charleston so really any day or anytime."

"even better, could you make it here in 30 minutes for an audition."

"absolutely i'll be there."

" oh and also we do have the love interest for the character you are auditioning for here, so if we could also do a chemistry read that would be perfect."

"that sounds great thank you."

ending the call the girl smiled to herself, this was all happening so fast and she was so happy.

athena had quickly threw on an outfit she thought would be more appropriate for the audition.

leaving her apartment, listening to music while walking to the location Jonas had sent her.

opening the door to the building the girl looked down hoping she had the right building.

"athena right?" an older man asked while holding out his hand for her to shake.

"yes sir" she replied shaking his hand and smiling.

"great, i'm Jonas we spoke on the phone earlier. I was thinking I could give you the lines, and you can read over them and we can do an audition."

"that sounds great, thank you so much for this opportunity"

Jonas had handed her a sheet of paper with lines that she was supposed to read. reading through them quickly. Jonas brought her into the room and she started her audition.

athena had taken a few acting classes, she didn't think she was the greatest actress but it was worth a try.

as she finished reading the lines she looked at Jonas' facial expressions hoping he would look happy or impressed.

Jonas smiled, "we think you are a really good fit for this role but we are going to have you do a chemistry read with your potential love interest"

sighing happily she heard the door open as she looked over she heard the voice say "didn't expect you to be here."

looking at him she muttered, "drew starkey." and gave him a wide smile.
