Chapter Thirteen

the screw up.

after athena had told the girls, she felt like a weight was lifted off of her. she felt like she could really be herself now.

they were over half way done with season three already. athena couldn't believe she was going to be in outer banks.

it had never really set in that this was real.

she had made so many friends that she had dreamed of having. though she was excited to be apart of this she was scared. the show had a huge fan base, she knew she was going to get attention.

she was scared of the hate, the love even. she wasn't sure if she could handle it.

she knew she was probably just overthinking but maybe she was right. what if she couldn't handle it, what if she broke.

the cast had helped her get her mind off of the overthinking, though it wouldn't go away. her friends were worried about her. especially after they found out about her past. they tried to support her and made sure she was keeping up with everyday things.

she was taken out of her thoughts by rudy knocking on her trailer.

" hey athena they need you on set in tannyhill." he said as he stood outside of her trailer door.

"okay. " athena said as she opened the door.

"good luck i love you." rudy said as he gave the girl a hug.

"thank you." she said as her and rudy walked away from the trailer.

she knew she was filming scenes with drew. the two hadn't talked in weeks, other than a hey here and there.

she had walked into tannyhill as she made eye contact with drew before quickly looking down.

as they started the scene drew had grabbed her by the wrist like rafe was supposed too. at that moment athena forgot her line. it was like her mind went blank as soon as he touched her.

jonas had called cut after she wasn't saying anything, he gave her a serious look before they reshot the scene. athena didn't know why she froze up, and it kept happening. after a few times she could tell everyone was getting irritated.

jonas had pulled her and drew into the office before he spoke up.

"what is up with you guys lately, you guys need to get your shit together" he said sternly.

athena knew he was right.

"i'm sorry ill do better" athena mumbled quietly.

"you too drew, you guys need to keep up. if you guys need something i'm always here." jonas said before giving the two a sympathetic smile.

athena had gotten up quickly not wanting to talk to drew, especially right now.

she felt so guilty, he was fucking up because of her.

jd and rudy had caught a glance of her running to her trailer, the two guys looked at each other before walking towards the girls trailer.

as they walked up to the door they could hear someone crying.

"ena open up, whats wrong." jd said with sympathy in his voice.

athena had opened the door to come face to face with the two boys.

they didn't say anything but just engulf athena in a hug as she cried.

she was glad she had friends like them.

but she was so embarrassed and upset, she was ruining it for everyone.

it was the worst feeling, looking up at jonas as she messed up, him looking visibly irritated.

she just needed to suck it up and do her job.

she just hoped that drew was okay.
