Chapter Five

the hangout.

as athena watched the entire cast of outerbanks enter her living room, her stomach dropped.

at this point the nervs had taken over and had become pure fear.

snapping out of her trance, she stood up to welcome the guests.

she watched as everyone sat down having conversations with each other, she figured this was her chance to sneak into the kitchen.

as she started to prepare dinner, trying to get over her anxiety as well, someone had walked into the kitchen.

she looked up to find madelyn. she wasn't going to lie, she stalked madelyn's social media, maybe even having a tiny crush on her, but then again who didn't.

"i noticed you looked overwhelmed earlier so i thought i would come and formally introduce myself" madelyn said giving athena a wide smile.

madelyn then walked over and proceeded to hug the girl, as the girls separated from the hug athena finally spoke up

"its really nice to meet you, and i'm sorry about eariler, i've never really had people over."

"don't worry about it love, i understand"

athena had felt safe with madelyn, she had only seen her on tv and met her briefly but she already had so much adoration for the girl.

as the night progressed she began to get more comfortable with the group of people. after she had prepared the meal she had gone into the living room to formally introduce herself to the rest of the cast.

she adored the entire cast, especially the one boy whose name started with d and ended with rew.

she went to the bathroom to think, had she already started to fall for drew? yes, she had a crush on him on the show but she didn't think this is how she would feel when she met him.

the girl knew he wouldn't think of her that way, they barely even knew each other.

putting her thoughts aside she went back into the living room, she had walked into a debate on what movie they should watch.

at the end of the debate the group had decided on harry potter. athena had brought up making popcorn to the group as they all happily said yes.

jd hoped up immediately telling to group he was going to help her.

drew couldn't help but to feel a bit jealous, subsiding it, he continued to watch the movie.

as jd and athena entered the kitchen jd gave her a smirk.

"what?" the girl questioned.

"what do you mean what? i see you and drew making heart eyes at each other." he said lifting his eyebrows to tease her.

"i have no idea what you are talking about." she said as a light blush swept across her face.

"mhm, sure you do" the boy said before grabbing the popcorn to bring it to the group.

athena had scoffed lightly, did drew really look at her with heart eyes? in her heart she had hoped he was.

half way through the movie athena had ended up sitting very close to drew.

yawning quickly before drew had turned to her "tired?"

"definitely, this is the most I've done in a while."

drew didn't say anything but lifted her head to his shoulder. as he did so, she caught the eyes of lilah who also raised her eyebrows to tease her.

before athena had time to process what just happened, she fell asleep, on drew's shoulder.

only a few weeks ago she had dreamt of this moment and now it was really happening.
