🍋 Out of Body (Android 17 x Reader)

It was a Wednesday. Smack dab in the middle of the week. You had finished your first and last class of the day. There was plenty of time to enjoy the rest of the day. Classes were back in session and everyone was at work. It was still summer, so there was still time to enjoy a little bit of the heat. It was the best time to be out shopping.

It was also the best time to be high. 

You were sitting on the mall bench, studying the indoor waterfall in front of you. Your eyes were heavy-lidded and red. You could do nothing but stay still as moving any of your limbs too fast was going to send your mind into a frenzy. You couldn't tell how long you've been sitting here either. It felt like two hours had already passed since you've sat down. You glanced at your watch and noted that it had only been ten minutes. A laugh was settled in the back of your throat ready to launch itself and echo throughout the mall. You pursed your lips together and tensed your entire body to keep this from happening. 

Your eyes closed, allowing your mind to feel the air conditioning brush against your skin on an unexplainable level. You snapped them open, however, checking to see if your bags were still next to you. Your mind pranced around the idea of how awful of a time the world was in right now. But what the hell were you supposed to do? Everyone wanted to pretend everything was fine, so you did just that. Classes still started and people still went to work. It was all very telling and stupid.

But only you could make your last moments worth living, so here you were. 

You continued to stare at the waterfall for a little while longer. You hoped in your heart that your city wasn't next. Sighing, you tossed your head back, enjoying again your body high. 

"Well, what do we have here?" A voice provoked. You snapped your head to your right to see a man and his questionable outfit standing before you. What kind of dude wears socks over his jeans? He looked at you with curiosity with a smirk plastered on his face. He looked familiar to you, but you couldn't put your finger on it right then. You set your small worry to the side and allowed your mouth to create a small smile. 

"Do you wanna sit?" You offered. 

"Sure..." You pushed some of your bags to the side and scooted yourself over so he could sit. He planted himself next to you. "I noticed you had been staring at this waterfall for a while. What's so interesting about it?" He asked. He continued to look at you with genuine curious intent. 

"Mm... it's not. It's more of a 'me' thing." You explained. The sound of the water danced inside your ears as you tolerated this random person talking to you. You made no face, however, there were too many other things to cringe at. "I'm just high right now. And I like listening and looking at random things. It's like a whole show to me," You couldn't hold your annoyance at him for long as you let out a small giggle. You knew your response probably didn't make sense, at all. He watched you with fascination. You turned your head towards him and flashed a soft smile. "You know what I mean?"

"I don't. But it sounds like you're enjoying yourself," He observed. You rolled your head back at the ceiling, staring at the clouds in the sky through the glass. You felt his eyes scan you but couldn't tell where; you didn't care. However, you did entertain the possible reasons why he was even talking to you. Your mind could've danced within the silence if you weren't bothered. But alas, you decided to be polite.

"Are you waiting on somebody?" You asked. 

"Yeah. I'm waiting on my sister. She wanted to go shopping before we left." He said. You scrunched your eyebrows thinking that you were so close but were actually no closer to identify who this man was. You replied with a soft "hm" and kept it pushing.
