**A requested continuation of chapter 3. Enjoy luvs!**
A few days passed since that humiliating day. There had already been plenty of days where you were humiliated by your peers, but this one topped them all. You made it your top priority to avoid him as much as possible. It was easy enough considering you weren't ranked high enough to be interacting with the top, but you also wanted to ensure you rarely saw him again. Or at least, until he appeared like he forgot the incident altogether.
It was also easy to forget that day. But each time you remembered it, you cringed. You would mentally beat yourself up regarding how you reacted to it all, how primal you must have appeared to be. It was all just very embarrassing.
You had received your hair products as promised. It was the only part of this fiasco that remained positive. You were back doing your regular duties, keeping an ear out for news regarding Freiza's condition. He was conscious and out of the healing tank, but was still wrapped in a few bandages. Either way, life looked like it was back to normal for you.
You sat at the cafeteria alone again today. It was dinnertime, and the next planet on the list to be ravaged was two weeks away. You zoned in on the food you ate, taking the chance to taste and feel the texture of everything. It was odd, but you eventually grew fond of it. You thought about what you needed to do the next day, which wasn't much. Most of it was paperwork.
"Alone again are we?" You glanced beside you and saw the chemist take a seat at the table. You produced a polite smile, not minding his presence but still disappointed that you couldn't be completely left alone. "How are you?"
"Just going through the motions," you commented. He nodded his head in response and began to eat with you. "Any updates on Frieza?"
"He's getting better. He killed one of the guards for something small today, so there's that," he explained with a half-full mouth.
"Love it," you said sarcastically. You both sat in silence for a couple of moments, appreciating the fact that you lived another day but slightly jealous that you haven't died yet. You swallowed the last amounts of food in your mouth. "Hey," the chemist lifted his head to look at you. You then leaned in a little closer to him. "thank you so much for that thing the other night. It's the only thing keeping me sane on this ship." you whispered. The chemist then nodded his head eagerly.
"It's no problem. Making deadly chemicals was starting to become a bore. I'm glad I could help!" he whispered back. "Besides, your hair looks nice. I think it's as nice as Zarbon's. It's refreshing to see some competition here," he chuckled.
"Shut the fuck up!" you snorted. You playfully hit his arm and put your head down so no one would see who was laughing in the room. The joke wasn't even that funny and you weren't exactly sure who this "Zarbon" was, but the chemist couldn't help to laugh a bit harder at your snort. You were soon struggling to keep a straight face as you both just started laughing at each other instead. It was a refreshing experience, something you hadn't experienced in a long time.
You put out one last giggle before you made the mistake of looking towards the cafeteria entrance. There stood the man that was the butt of the original joke, and he stood incredibly still, looking directly at you. He was with another crew and Dodoria; it was unclear to you how long he was there, and worse, how long he had been watching you. You glanced at him then back at the chemist, then frantically back at him. Your smile dropped with the last look. You started to panic, noting that you hadn't even given the warrior an apology for what you did. You sat up straight and cleared your throat, starting to clean up.
"Is everything okay?" the chemist asked. You put the last of your trash onto the tray. He watched you get up.
"Yeah, I think I've overstayed my welcome here," you stated as blank as you could. Without moving his head, the chemist darted his eyes over by the entrance, observing the warrior's presence. He then looked back at you, seeing how you eyed him cautiously. He wanted to ask if it was related to the warrior's presence but didn't want to pry. "I'll see you later," he heard you mutter. You quickly put threw away your trash and set out towards the other exit.
