**This one-shot is a request from one of my Ao3 readers. Enjoy!**

Time seemed to pass by a little slower today. But that was fine considering that today was a break from your usual obligations. You had nothing to do and no one to see, and you wouldn't have had it any other way.

You had been sitting in this coffee shop for about thirty minutes now, doing nothing but people watching. You were next to the window so the sun basked onto your skin like it was hugging you. It felt comforting. People were out and about, doing random things in their random lives that had no concern for you. It was a perfect capture of what it was like for South City during the springtime.

You took another sip of your latte and suddenly took notice of a well-built man. You had never seen another man that looked similar. He had lilac hair that was down to his shoulders and a Capsule Corp jacket. You didn't take note of the rest of his outfit because you focused on his facial features. This man was just so handsome and you were in shock that others were just walking by and around him like he was a normal person.

But then again, you'd seen almost everything, so maybe he was just a normal man.

Your eyes followed him and realized shortly after that he was going into the same coffee shop you were in. You squealed inside but quickly snapped out of it when you thought you were doing too much.

He walked inside the building - as a normal person would. You sighed to yourself, you didn't know what you expected to happen.

Meanwhile, this was one of Trunks' first genuine days off. He was going back to the future in a couple of days and wanted to make the best of it. He was so hyped to be able to do normal things he couldn't do in his timeline; eat out, go to the movies, shop, even watch television in peace. He was going to cherish this day for a long time. All of his family was here and he was so happy to meet them all, even his father. His heart was full.

He walked into this coffee shop that caught his eye first and realized he knew nothing about coffee (other than the ones he made back at home). He looked at this menu for what seemed like forever and eventually ordered an iced hazelnut coffee. With his drink, he sat at one of the tables away from the windows.

He pondered for a moment; he was unsure what to do at this point. He couldn't decide if he just wanted to sit there and do nothing or leave to do something else. But even if he were to leave, where would he go? What was there to do? Trunks sure as hell didn't know, but he thought that was what will make the day so enjoyable.

He sat and looked at the people who were cooped up in their own little bubbles. The past couple of days seemed like a dream to them, so they went back to their lives of lollygagging, working, taking care of their kids. Trunks looked at them all and gained a new sense of hope for his timeline.

Then his eyes landed on you. Trunks had to do a double-take to make sure he wasn't imagining things. He then glanced back to the side to make sure he wasn't staring too hard. He debated whether he should attempt to approach you or not, but decided it wouldn't make sense since he would be disappearing in a couple of days. He softly sighed in disappointment with this thought while you left the shop.

Hours later, you decided to conclude your day of solace with a trip to the movies. It had been so long since you had been to the movies at all, mainly because of how expensive the snacks were. But you had already eaten so there would be no trouble in feeling hungry this time around.

You were walking to the theatre since it wasn't too far from where you had eaten out. It was still warm and the sun was in the middle of setting. You neglected to go back home to change into something warmer. Though you were wearing a tank top, you told yourself you would be able to handle it. It would only be a couple of hours anyway.
