My friends nudged me as a dark boat passed us at the lake, four people. on it. Two girls, two guys. I tilted my head curiously and smiled as I recognised one of them.
"Hey!" I shouted, gaining the group's attention. "Lucas!!" I saw the taller boy in the black shirt look among his group for a moment before staring at us curiously. "Come on!"
"(Y/n)?!" He called back and I smiled brightly, nodding.
"Yeah!!" He briefly looked through the group again before standing and diving into the water. I laughed. As he neared, resorting to standing, I hurried over to him and tackled him back into the water. He laughed and wrapped his arms around my waist while I hugged him as he pushed himself to sit up. "It's been so long! What are you doing down here?" I was so excited that I was seeing him again.
"Grandpa bought everyone down for the weekend for the Eclipse."
"That's so cool! Your Grandpa sounds really nice." Luke chuckled as I now sat in his lap, my arms draped over his shoulders as we talked.
"He can be intense sometimes. We call him Grumpa." I tried to contain my smile. "How come you're down here?"
"Oh, yeah, we used to live down here, back when I first met you, now we just come down for the summer." Luke seemed a little confused.
"When did you guys move? And where to??" I smiled, leaning back a little.
"Well, actually, we moved the start of this year now that I've finished school." Luke slowly nodded. "Actually, I'm going to college next year, and there's usually student accommodation..."
"What are you saying...?"
"Well, I'm going to college, I'm going to get a place down there...why not come with me...?" I smiled sweetly, tilting my head cutely. Luke chuckled.
"I can't, I have a job now..." I pouted. "Otherwise I probably would."

I hurried into the restaurant and over to the hostess.
"Hi, I'm looking for Luke Dunphy, he said he booked a table here-" She smiled softly.
"We were starting to think you'd stood him up." She laughed a little and I smiled apologetically. "He's just over there." She motioned over to a table just behind the bar and I smiled, thanking her. I quickly headed over to the table.
"Lucas~" I sang with a smile, urging him to quickly look up, showing me a relieved smile. "I'm sorry I'm late." I pressed a quick kiss to his cheek and dropped into the seat opposite him. I wore a dark red dress that sat at my thighs, a pair of dark red heels, and a casual black zip-up.
"Is that my hoodie?" I nodded, laughing awkwardly.
"I was in a rush...I took a nap and overslept. I'm sorry I kept you waiting-"
"Hey, it's fine, at least you turned up. Last year I got stood up-"
"I wonder why...you're adorable..." This cute smile crossed his face and I giggled as someone from the table beside us returned. "You're so cute." I saw his cheeks tint a little pink. I leaned across the table slightly and made sure I made eye-contact with him. "I quite like you, and I think that after dinner..." I nodded for him to come a little closer. When he did, I whispered. "Maybe we should get a hotel for the night...?" I lightly bit my lip as I sat back down, tilting my head cutely. Luke's nods started out hesitant but became more and more sure, his tongue flicking between his lips. "R-really?" He nodded again. It had taken me by surprise, but I continued to smile.
"Sounds like it'll be fun."

I smiled softly as Luke hugged me close to him as we stood outside the hotel we had just left, a quiet giggle slipping from my lips."It was nice seeing you again..." Luke smiled softly, pressing a gentle kiss to my lips. "Happy Valentine's day..." I continued to smile, standing a little taller as I moved to kiss him, a giddy smile on my face while we both ignored the fact that my skin was decorated with fresh purple marks. Luke reluctantly pulled away when his phone started to ring, but he happily put his phone on speaker. "Uncle Mitch?"
"Luke! Oh, thank god! Your parents have been trying to get a hold of you, but said they couldn't-"
"Mitchell!" A second male voice scolded and I tilted my head curiously.
"Right, right! Claire wants you home as soon as possible, oh! And call her!"
"Mom's calling me now, anyway-"
"Do you want a lift home?" Luke stared at me for a moment. "My car's just around the corner..."
"That...would be amazing..." Luke ended the call on his uncle before answering his moms call. "Hey mom, I'm on the way home now-"
"Haley can see you, get your butt home right now, young man-!" Luke quickly looked around the area before freezing and sighing. I stared at him curiously.
"What?"
"That's my sister, Haley." He pointed to a small cafe on the corner of the street, and there staring out of the window was a small, tanned girl with short hair. She offered the pair of us a smile and a wave, both teasing.
"Come on." I started tugging him in the direction of where I had parked my car. "I'll drive you home." Luke instinctively slipped his fingers through mine, tugging me closer to him as he ended the call on his rambling mother.
