I stood quietly as the class just stared at me after admitting my older brother was a B-rank villain. A girl with short brown hair hesitantly raised her hand.
"Are you like him?" I stared at her, although glancing briefly to the floor, tempted to nod.
"In what way...?"
"A villain." She was quite straightforward, the whole class on edge, Aizawa however was not. I shook my head.
"No...but people say my quirk is villainous...and I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought about it." I looked to the floor, avoiding eye contact with everyone, although Aizawa now seemed to have his attention on me, so did my three friends. "When bullied for having their quirk, or not having one, there are usually two options..." I allowed a small amount of confidence to flow through me. "Villainy, or suicide." The green haired boy's body seemed to relax as he watched me curiously. "I love my brother, with everything I have because he's all I have left...he helped me to learn about my quirk, he raised me...I owe him everything." Everyone was still on edge, except this little green haired boy. "And then people use him against me, use my quirk against me, both as an excuse to verbally abuse me-" Tamaki gave my hand a tight squeeze and I immediately looked to him, his eyes fixated on my hair, which was beginning to drip. I picked up the end of my hair and watched curiously as it began to drip blood. "They always said I was meant to be like him...I know for a fact villains are much nicer than hero students and heroes...but I know they're more destructive and dangerous..." I sighed, Tamaki sliding his fingers between mine. Something blipped into my head, a realisation, and I froze.
"(Y/n)?" Aizawa spoke and I straightened up, offering a hesitant smile. "Is something the matter?" I nodded, apologetically pulling my hand from Tamaki's before sprinting out of the room and down the corridors.
"(Y/n)!" I could hear my closest friends voice down the corridor as I turned the corner and headed for the stairs. Something was going to happen. Tamaki's phone had gone off in his pocket, and it was a certain chime, one he had set for a specific person. Mirio's had gone off at the same time, which meant it was from the same person, including Aizawa's phone.
I hadn't realised I had no idea where I was going until I heard a chorus of heroes going in a certain direction. I watched as they all followed the roads and buildings. Tamaki, Mirio, the green haired boy, a red haired boy, Nejire and two girls from the 1-A class were included in the group. They seemed adamant on their venture. Ahead of them were various heroes, including Fat Gum, Aizawa, Nighteye...
Something was going on, and it was not good.I whizzed through the area and found the building I was looking for.
"Kai!?" I called out, carefully walking around corners in an attempt to not get attacked. "Kai...?" I quietly asked, hesitant about this whole building being quiet. That was until a few walls collapsed around me, causing a brief scream to slip from my lips as I moved out of the way of the collapsing ceiling. My eyes landed on that of Tamaki Amajiki.
"(Y-y/n)...?" I stared at him in scared surprise while he just stared at me in surprise, shocked to see me here at all. "(Y/n)..." He slowly stood up from the rubble to approach me, however I took a step backwards. "(N-n/n)...what are you doing here...?" I shook my head and quickly turned around, running down the corridor.
"Kai!" I called out, finally having found him and Chrono-something in front of a room. He offered me a quick smile, nodding into the room.
"Grab her and let's go." He already started walking off. I peered into the room and found Eri. She seemed to light up at the sight of me.
"(Y/n)!" I smiled and crouched a little so she could hurry over to me.
"We've got to go, before the building collapses, okay?" She nodded, hugging me as I scooped her up. I hurried after my brother, hearing my name be called from down the corridor. I turned my head and saw Tamaki again, his eyes widened at the sight of my brother turning around too, his eyes bored as he stared at the almost trained hero.
"Friend of yours?" I nodded, no smile on my lips. "Then I won't kill him." I smiled softly with a nod, turning on my heel with Eri on my hip.
We made it to a point where the green haired boy had appeared. Eri was wrapped up tightly in my arms and I was stood behind my brother, who was stood in front of the two of us protectively.
We were in this big hole in the ground, an open top. Eri was gripping my shirt, scared. I was fairly worried, still my quiet self."Eri, do you trust me?" She quickly nodded. "Then I need you to run to that green haired boy, okay?" She nodded as I crouched down, setting her on her feet. "You ready?" She nodded, releasing my shirt as I released her. "Then go." She took a hesitant step before sprinting as fast as she could across the rubble. Kai immediately whipped around to face me. I quickly ducked out of the way of his arm and kicked his feet out from under him, sending him to the ground. I glanced across the area and saw the green haired boy with Eri. I sucked in a deep breath, glad she was somewhere safe. I stood up straight as Kai stood up.
"You let her go?!" I nodded, urging myself to be ready to use my quirk, I could feel the blood dripping from my hair. "You want to fight your own brother? The one who raised you?!"
"You raised me like this! You raised me to use my quirk however I wanted, right?" He stared at me. "I'm choosing to defend two kids against a 20 year old man who can tear them apart!" My chest was heaving and I felt like shaking and crying. I was scared, he'd never yelled at me like that before..."I don't want to fight you, and I know I don't have to!" Kai stared at me for a moment before sighing and shaking his head, stepping to the side and nodding the other way.
"Go on then." I stared at him, confused. "You want to be a hero, right?" I nodded ever so slightly. "Then get back to school." He was letting me go...?
"You don't want to fight me? Kill me for getting in the way?" He tilted his head, pulling a face.
"You're my sister, I want what's best for you...even if it means I'll have to fight you at some point, or possibly kill your friends." A small smile crossed my lips as I moved to walk passed him.
"Thank you-"
"Rents due in a couple days, by the way." I glanced over my shoulder at Kai.
"You're the one with money, Kai, not me-"
"I mean your rent." I stared at him. "I don't think you should, as a hero student, be living with a villain, so I've been emailing your boyfriend's parents and I said I'd pay rent for you to live with them." I stared at him as he sighed.
