I looked up from my book and tilted my head with a smile when I noticed a fairly well-known, but also bullied, guy in my grade, taking a picture. Peter Parker. He hesitantly lowered the camera and offered me an awkward smile since he was looking directly at me and I was looking directly at him. We both became increasingly confused hearing the words 'Eat it! Eat it! Eat it!' being repeated not too far away. I stuffed my book into my bag before heading over, slinging it over my shoulder.
"Hey Parker, come on, get a picture of this!" I sighed as Flash held some poor hid upside down and physically dipped him into a plate of meatballs and spaghetti.
"No, I'm not gonna take a picture of you, put him down..." Peter was fairly quiet as I stood next to him, seeing as we had come over here together.
"Come on." Flash pressed, chuckling.
"Gordon, don't eat that." I discouraged, keeping an eye on the boy.
"Come on, Parker, take a picture."
"Flash, just put him down." I sighed, having enough of this as people continued to chant.
"Come on, Flash." Peter encouraged too, now in the circle of students too.
"Take the picture, Parker."
"Put him down, Eugene!" I pursed my lips, trying to hide a smile as Peter called him by his first name. Flash threw Gordon to the ground.
"Hey, man-" Peter went to go over to Gordon but was stopped by Flash, immediately getting punched right in the face. Followed my a knee to the gut when he had tried to get up, and then a kick to the stomach once he was on the floor again. My eyes moved from Peter, who I was staring at with wide eyes, to Flash, my gaze shifting to a glare.
"You're an asshole." Was all I said before moving to help Peter to his feet, although Flash grabbed my arm, pulling me to my feet.
"(N/n), leave him on the floor, he deserves it-"
"Get off of me." I stared right into his eyes, my voice calm, but a smidge of aggression was paired with it. Flash moved enough to pull me away from Peter and turn me around. "Get off!" I yanked my arm away, unintentionally jabbing my elbow into his jaw. I pursed my lips again. I took a step back as Gwen finally appeared, urging Flash to go to class. I offered her a smile as I turned back to Peter, who was pulling himself from the floor. As he picked up his camera, I grabbed his bag and skateboard, wandering back over to him. "I'm sorry about him...he's always been like that..." Peter offered me a forced smile. "Even at home he's a bit of a prick..." I laughed quietly.

"Well don't you look cute?" I laughed from the ground as I spotted Peter sat on the roof of his porch, his leg hanging off the edge. He quickly looked down to me in surprise. I laughed again. "What are you doing, Parker?"
"I'm...uh...Homework." I shook my head with another laugh. "Do you want to come up?" I nodded with a smile. "Just, uh, find my room, and go through the window." I nodded, heading into the house, saying hi to his wonderful guardians. I was quick to find my way onto the. roof, immediately noticing what he was doing.
"That's...interesting..." Peter quickly hid the file with the book he was looking through. I tilted my head curiously but shook it off. "What's up with the glasses?"
"Oh, yeah, uh, a few things...sentimentality...actually needing them..." I smiled and nodded.
"I've seen you up here before...I've also seen you in some places doing weird things." Peter slowly looked from his pages and up to me. "I've seen you messing around in that abandoned area...it's fun to watch..."
"To watch? How often have you seen me there?"
"Well, I go for my art project quite often...but I've seen pretty much everything, but I prefer to watch the skateboarding, it's easier to explain." I set my bag down and pulled out my sketchbook, showing him the watercolours I had been doing, including the ones he was involved in. "While you take amazing photo's, I take shitty ones and make them decent paintings."
"These are amazing..."
It was the middle of the night and I had been dragged out of my bed to my window, and made to open it, half asleep, so my recent friend could come in.
"Peter, it's late-" I quietened down when I saw how upset he was. I offered him a sympathetic smile before slipping my arms over his shoulders and pulling him into a hug. His arms hesitantly wrapped around my waist as he buried his head into my shoulder. "What's going on with you...?" I sighed sadly, only fro him to tighten his grip a little, which made me straighten up as he pulled me a little closer.
"My Uncle Ben...he, uhm...the police have just been to talk to May..."
"Peter...-"
"...He's dead..." I tightened my grip on him and pulled him closer to myself.
"You'll be okay...I promise..." I felt him nod as he cried, and I rest my head on his shoulder. "You can stay here if you'd lik-" He quickly shook his head, pulling away from me.
"N-no, I should probably get home to May..."
__________
I gently pushed open Peter's bedroom door and smiled to myself when I found it empty. He'd been out constantly, and his room was a mess, as usual, but his aunt May loved having me over as someone to talk to since the incident with her husband. I was a source of conversation, distraction, and friendship for both of them. I dropped onto Peter's bed, dumping my bag by his desk chair before beginning to clean. I'd known Peter since he started living with his Aunt and Uncle, because I lived down the road, but then an unfortunate incident occurred with my own parents, which caused for me to be adopted into another family, which was Flash's family. So in the space of losing my parents, and being adopted by Flash's parents, I had to move to another house for a while, which meant I only saw Peter at school, occasionally, but we had managed to remain friends. And then High school started, and we went to the same one, growing closer.
I could hear the door open downstairs, and I was left to feel sleepy after having cleaned his room cause a messy bitch. I shook my head and flopped onto Peter's bed, curling up into a partial ball before closing my eyes, tempted to just sleep. That was until I heard the door open and I lazily opened my eyes, noticing Peter had frozen in the doorway.
"You cleaned...?" I nodded, curling up a little more as I got comfier on his bed, burying the side of my face into his pillow. "Tired?" He chuckled, causing me to smile as I nodded again. He dropped his bag beside mine and stripped off his hoodie, hanging it on the back of his desk chair. I could tell by his silence and awkwardness of wandering around his own room, that he didn't know what to do now. I pat the bit of the bed behind me. "Y-you want me to-" I sighed and sat up, tiredly staring up at him before standing up and dragging him over to the bed. He. lifted me a little before setting me down on my back, allowing me to roll onto my side as he hesitantly lay beside me. He lay on his back, starring up at the ceiling as I shuffled closer yo him, sliding under his arm so it was around my shoulders as I rest my head on his chest.
"You need to stop getting in fights." I quietly laughed as Peter relaxed, gently resting his head against mine.
"That doesn't sound very likely."
"Good luck with your Spiderman hobby." I heard him chuckled to himself as I drifted off, pressing a gentle kiss to the top of my head.
"Thanks..."

I'd stayed yet another night at Peter's house and spent the day hanging out with May, however when I heard the door open and close downstairs, I couldn't help but hurry down, only to be greeted by the torn up appearance of Peter.
"Oh Peter..." I whispered, smiling softly when he looked form his aunt May and over to me. His cheeky smile fell and he offered me a sincere one.
"Hey...You staying here tonight?" There was this hopeful glint in his eyes, and I nodded, making him smile. His first instinct, apparently, was to encase me in a hug, which - apparently - caught me by surprise.
