I wandered down the street on my walk to work once again and walked past a tent in a front garden."Jay...?" I asked, watching as the boy with a ridiculous hair cut slunk out of the tent.
"(Y/n), hey, what are you- what are you doing? Heading to work?" I nodded with a smile.
"Yeah...Where are you off to?" I headed over to him and his tent.
"O-oh, um, we're heading to Byron Bay today for a while..." I slowly nodded, confused by the word 'we'.
"We?" He nodded.
"Yeah, um, a few of my mates from England have come here for four weeks." I laughed a little.
"You have mates?" He pulled face, like he was offended. "Can I meet them?" He glanced to the tent behind him and sighed.
"Guys, you can come out, I know you're listening." One person crawled out of the tent, short, curly hair, glasses. He was then followed by someone who seemed a lot taller, rather lanky with dark hair.
"Oi Si, get out here, she's actually gorgeous." The lankier one stated, holding. hand out as he spoke again. "I'm Neil."
"(Y/n)." I smiled. softly, shaking his hand. "You're politer than I expected..."
"What? Cause we're from England?" I nodded with a shrug as the third friend finally came out of the ten. Average height, lighter hair than the other two, quite good looking actually.
"(Y/n), Simon, Will, and obviously Neil." I smiled at the three.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, really, I'm surprised Jay knows a girl here." Will shook my hand as he glanced to Jay as he spoke.
"Well, yeah, I bullied him for sleeping in a tent every time I walk passed, now we're somewhat friends."

I joined the group on their excursion and had witnessed Simon try to break up with his maniac of a girlfriend, well fiancee, multiple times, and it had finally become unbearable for everyone.
"Look, Simon, you need to suck it up and just tell her that you want to end it." I shrugged. "Honestly, it's the best thing for you." Simon groaned as we and Jay floated down the lazy river.
"What if she burns more of my stuff?" jay and I shared a look, wondering how this paranoid man had such a crazy girlfriend.
"How about this, I'm heading to England soon, how about I move all your stuff from Sheffield to my place?"
"Your place?" I nodded, tipping my head back to look at Jay again.
"You twat, I live in England, I'm only here for work experience, it finishes next week." The two boys shared a look. "Just make a list of your things, and I'll grab them."
"How long would I have to wait to break up with her?"
"I will message you when I get to England, and when I get to your place, and when everything is moved, then you're in the clear to do it." Simon swallowed and thought about it.
"You're sure about this? We met yesterday." I nodded.
"Any friend of Jay's is a friend mine."
"That would. be amazing, thank you, really."
I sat beside Simon as he uncomfortably Skyped Lucy, who was with his best friend at uni, who she said had been amazing...Something wasn't adding up with those two.
"They're weirdly close..." I whispered, weirded out bye the interaction. "I think they're together, Si..." He nodded just as Jay and Neil came in. The four of us grabbed our bags and dumped them in the car, trying to get Will to come with us, who completely turned on his. friends, who in turn - turned on him. And I was just in the background. Simon and Will were in a back and forth of 'grow up', which as entertaining as it was, was utterly immature. I stood beside Simon and gently nudged his arm, nodding towards Jay's tacky car so we could leave.

I groaned as I set the last box down in a rush, my mum having helped with moving Simons stuff to the spare bedroom of my flat. All his stuff was in a room I didn't use, and if he wanted to stay for a little bit that would be fine too. I dialled Simon's number as my mum gave me a quick hug, heading off to work.
