TW: Death, Blood

"Hey there! My name is Sakamoto Asuka, nice to meet you!" a girl greeted Kageyama. She was her seat mate. The setter glanced at her. She had short light brown hair with a slight tint of orange at the tips. The ends stuck out everywhere. She had dark brown eyes.

"Kageyama Touko, although you already know that." she quietly said, not trusting her. She was very skeptical of her.

"Sakamoto, don't bother her." a boy deadpanned. Asuka pouted.

"Come on man, I wasn't bothering her!" she huffed. The boy rolled his eyes. He had spiky, black hair that barely covered his forehead. His eyes were an olive green.

"Ignore her. She can be quite childish sometimes." he told the setter, ignoring the brunette's protests "I'm Mochida Gintaro, nice to meet you." he introduced himself, sticking out his hand for a handshake. Kageyama stared at it for a few seconds, not sure of what to do. When the raven shook his hand a little, she finally got the message. Although hesitant, she slowly reached for it, returning the handshake.

"A pleasure to meet you." she simply commented.

Goshiki couldn't help but stare at the raven as she and her two new acquaintances walked in the cafeteria, taking a table for themselves. "Neh, Goshiki, who are you staring at?" his senpai, Tendou, questioned, putting his arm on his shoulders. He visibly flinched, as he had not been paying attention to his surroundings.

"Yeah lil' bowl cut, who got you on the clouds?" Shirabu teased with a smirk. Goshiki shot him a quick glare.

"We got a transfer student in our class." he answered, taking a bite of his sushi.

"A transfer student in the middle of the year? That's surprising." Semi commented, surprised. Ushijima glanced at the raven, not recognizing her at first. Then, when she turned to look at him, he did

"Kageyama... Touko?" he mumbled, shocked. Unlike Oikawa, who the ace had been bothering him night and day for him to transfer, she, who had saved him, had actually joined Shiratorizawa. He hadn't actually thought that she was going to. He just blurted those words on accident.

"Wakatoshi-kun, why do you keep staring at her?" Tendou asked, putting his elbows on the table. The ace blinked before looking away from the girl.

"Because she's the setter from Karasuno." he answered.

"Eh?! A setter from Karasuno?! Then what is she doing here?" Goshiki questioned, surprised.

"I would like to know that as well." Semi shrugged, glancing at the raven. She saw as the raven just tilted her head, while Asuka just laughed at something she said. Gintaro just put his head on the table, groaning in what seemed like frustration.

"Can someone, like, end my life please?" he muttered. Kageyama snapped her heads towards him in pure disbelief. In her perspective, why would he say that? Death was something horrible. She felt her chest hurt.

"I-I need to go to the bathroom. Excuse me." she excused herself, quickly getting up. The two looked at her in confusion, watching as the raven quickly hurried out of the cafeteria.

Kageyama stumbled into the bathroom, quickly locking the stall. She put a hand on her chest, trying to calm herself down. It didn't help that much. "Why... Why now..." she croaked, feeling her vision starting to blurry.

"It hasn't happened for a few weeks. Don't fuck me over right now." she groaned, clenching her fists. There was a very heated fight between her emotions and her body. However, her emotions were winning by far. And then, she saw it. One of the gruesome images that she wanted to forget.

Macarona's barely alive body, laying in a pool of her own blood. She had a spear right through her chest. Her body was still twitching in pain, as if she was in some kind of trance or something like that. What pained Kageyama the most was the expression she had while she held her in her last breathing moments. It was... one of happiness. And what she said next broke her completely.

"Take care... Of Rawberry for me... Don't let her... Do stupid things... Froze..." Macarona softly croaked out, her eyes barely shedding any tears. She had cried too much earlier.

"Macarona, you can't say that!" Froze shouted, trying so hard to compose herself. But it was useless. I mean, how could you remain calm after one of your closest friends was bleeding out in your arms? Despite healing her to, at least, try to keep her alive, nothing was working.

"Froze... I'm not gonna make it... You... Need to... leave me..." the brown haired girl coughed out, removing the blonde's hand from her wound soaked in blood. Just then, Froze saw her life flash before her eyes. Another spear was heading towards her. However, Macarona, despite her current state, had gotten up, shielding the healer with her own body. The blonde widened her eyes in shock.

"R-Run..."

"But-"

"RUN! NOW!" Macarona snapped as more spears were hitting her body. Froze, unable to reason anymore, just got up, and ran as fast as her legs carried her.

"Macarona..." Kageyama sobbed quietly, hugging herself as she leaned onto the wall, slowly sliding down her back against the cold metal. She hugged her knees.
