It was almost time. Kageyama prepared herself for the late night investigation. She made sure that there were no policemen around the area. The crow she met that night, which she named Kurai (dark in japanese), had helped her. Turns out she can understand what the small crow says. Pretty crazy, right? She thought that too, but she finds the skill quite useful. The setter got dressed.

Putting a hoodie over the outfit, she opened the window

Putting a hoodie over the outfit, she opened the window. "Kurai, go ahead and inform me if there are any policemen that decided to stay there." she ordered. The crow nodded, flapping his wings (Kurai's a male) before taking off. The raven didn't want to take any risks. She had to be precautious. After all, she didn't want to get caught. She waited for her flying companion to return. While that, she put on her face mask.

Kurai shortly came back. He squawked. "So there are no policemen? Good. Let's go." she said, pulling her hoodie on. Kurai nodded, landing on the girl's shoulder. Who then leapt up, jumping quite high. The setter had to admit, she hadn't done this in a while. The feeling of being in the air, almost as if she was flying excited her. She landed on a roof. She almost fell down due to the fact that she started losing her balance. Thankfully, she managed to stay put. Kurai looked at her before quacking quietly. It was clear that he was worried.

"I'm alright Kurai. I just... I haven't done this in a while. Jumping high, I mean." she explained, rubbing the back of her neck. Before Kurai could question what she meant, the girl started jumping from roof to roof. The bird tightened his grip on the girl's shoulder, not wanting to be blown away by the force of the wind.

"Oi, Crappykawa, where are you going?" Iwaizumi asked. Seijoh was having a training camp with some other school. At the moment, the third years were going to sleep, but Oikawa just couldn't sleep at all. He had so many thoughts racing through his mind, it wouldn't let him rest.

"I'm going to get fresh air. I'll be back in a bit, don't worry." he smiled, leaving the room the third years were in. He wasn't technically lying. He needed to clear his mind. While he was on his phone, he stumbled upon the news that Ushiwaka was in the hospital because he was attacked by an unknown perpetrator. The police didn't have any clue on why it happened, or if they had a grudge against the ace. Oikawa may hate the guy, but having the idea of hurting him? Yeah no, that wasn't happening.

"According to Ushijima's testimony, the only thing he can remember seeing is a girl with something red. Other than that, his memory is foggy." he read what the article said. He clicked his tongue. 'This article is useless.' he thought. He was going to figure out what happened to Ushiwaka no matter what. 'A girl with something red. But there are millions of girls out there.' he thought, bringing a hand to his forehead. His head hurt from all this thinking.

"There's gotta be something more..." he mumbled. Maybe if he did some investigation of his own, he could figure out what had happened.

Back with Kageyama, she had finally arrived at the supposed crime scene. As Kurai had told her, there were no policemen around, which meant she could take more time in investigating. Jumping down, she gracefully landed.

The setter shivered. She remembered where the body exactly was. What would have happened if she didn't find him in time? Would he have... died? It was most probably, due to the fact that he was losing a lot of blood. If the girl hadn't healed most of his wounds, he would have met his demise. The setter shook her head. It wasn't the time to think about that.

The first thing she looked in were the trash bins. 'God, I'm definitely going to have a shower after this.' she thought. Unluckily, she didn't find anything. And now she just smelled like trash. She groaned in annoyance. Kurai quaked.

"Kurai, you don't need to lie. I smell like shit." she deadpanned. She then had an idea. Clasping her hands together, she focused to see if she could sense any sign of magic. She and Ethiw had been working on this technique for a while, but she couldn't perfect it because... Things happened, and now she had been thrown into this world of humans. She then sensed an amount of magic coming from one of the walls. But there wasn't anything there.

"Could it be..." she mumbled. She summoned her box staff and poked the wall. Indeed, she felt as if there was a hole there. She clenched her fists before she hit the wall. However, something hit her back. She held her stomach in pain. 'They definitely have a portal here.' she thought. But just then, she felt strong amounts of magic heading there. She quickly jumped up, landing on the roof.

"Kurai, we're done for this night." she said before leaping from roof to roof again. The crow looked at her in confusion, but just nodded.
