Iwaizumi gritted her teeth as she punched the tree next to her, making a dent. The others may think she's frustrated because she wants to know which school Kageyama would attend, but she's actually pissed because she had recently heard what happened to Ushijima via Kageyama. "Dammit! They really are here..." she grumbled. A part of her really wished that this was just a bad dream. That she would actually wake up to her team just being the crackheads she knows and loves. But this was all real. Very much real.
"I can't believe they found a way to travel to this world too..." she mumbled, clenching her fist really hard. Blood started dripping from it. She clicked her tongue. She would dress the wound later. Just then, she heard rustling.
"...What was that..?" she muttered, looking around. She was tense. Really tense. 'Who is here..? And where are they..?' Iwaizumi thought, frantically looking around. Then she saw a shadow getting bigger right above her. Looking up, she let out a scream before a hand covered her mouth, something cold pressing against her neck.
"If you dare let out another noise, I will slice your neck." the person said. By the voice, the ace guessed that they were a male. Probably around his twenties.
"Iwa-chan!" they heard Oikawa shout, looking for her. The man tried to back away, but Iwaizumi had other plans. Stomping on his foot, she started running towards the direction she heard her best friend yell.
"YOU! GET BACK HERE!" the man shouted, chasing the short brunette. She didn't know how, but she managed to get him off of her trail. The girl then saw Oikawa, and she didn't doubt before running into his arms, looking for comfort and safety. He wrapped his arms around her, as if he was going to protect her from evil or something like that.
"Shhh... I'm here, it's okay." he whispered, trying to soothe her down. The girl buried her head on his chest, quietly bawling her eyes out. The others finally found them.
"Iwaizumi-senpai, I'm glad you're alright!" Kindaichi breathed out, relieved. The girl didn't respond, she just closed her eyes. That scared her. A lot. She wasn't expecting being held hostage by that man at all, not how he found a way to get into the camp since it's pretty much hidden-
Iwaizumi widened her eyes. The man! Where was he?! Did he run away after she found Oikawa?! Even though she doubted that was the case, it could still be a possibility! Or... was he-
"Oh, what a lovely scene." they heard the man snark. She flinched, turning around. There was the man, holding a... A katana?! 'Was that what was pressed against my neck?!' the ace thought, slightly shaking from the shock. Oikawa could feel her trembling in his arms. The man then pointed to all the players with the katana.
"I wonder. Which one of you should I kill first?" he cackled. Everyone stood there, frozen in shock. Why did he want to kill them?! They didn't do anything to him, right?! At least, not that they knew of!
"W-Who are you?!" Kyoutani growled in a demanding tone. But Iwaizumi knew that he was scared. That he was afraid of this man, just like the rest of them. The man glanced at him for a few seconds before smirking.
"A fucking god." he answered. Iwaizumi felt her breath stop. She could feel his magic flowing all over the place. 'He... He's from another world, isn't he? Why didn't I think of that before?! I need to protect everyone!' she thought. As if it were magic, all of her fear vanished. Instead, she was starting to develop anger towards the man. The audacity he had to enter this world and state that he was going to kill them. Just then, the man dashed towards Kindaichi and Kunimi.
"KINDAICHI! KUNIMI!" Yahaba shouted, but Iwaizumi was already on it. Kindaichi quickly shielded himself with his arms, pushing Kunimi aside. The wing spiker widened his eyes at the sudden action his friend did. But then, a scream surprised him. Opening his eyes, he saw Iwaizumi had kicked the man, sending him flying to a tree.
"Iwaizumi-senpai?!" Watari questioned, shocked. Oikawa had a mix of emotions running through his whole body. He was glad that Kindaichi wasn't harmed, he was pissed off at the man for trying to hurt his undeclassman... but most importantly, he was worried and scared. Worried that Iwaizumi's secret would be revealed, and scared that Iwaizumi was going to get hurt. It's not like she hasn't gotten hurt before. But this situation was far more serious than the rest.
"Everyone." she called, her voice was surprisingly collected "I want you to get out of here as fast as possible." she said.
"What?! But you're in danger as well!" Yahaba argued. He didn't want his upperclassman to get hurt.
"I'll be fine! Now go!" she shouted, looking at them. Only Oikawa noticed her glowing red eyes. The captain of the team knew what he had to do.
"Everyone, let's go!" he ordered. Taken aback by the sudden shout, all the volleyball players quickly left Iwaizumi alone. They trusted her. They knew she had this under control. But they still couldn't help but worry about her.
