Chapter 28 - The Second Attack

Philza stood in front and middle of the army with Wilbur, Tommy and Ranboo beside him. He gave a threatening stare at Dream. The opposing army reflecting off his diamond sword. Dream, who wasn't wearing his mask, simply looked at Philza and everyone else with a small smirk. No one moved and the two armies stared down each other waiting for either one of them to start the attack. A small breeze ran through everyone. A feather was pulled out of Philza's wing and gave the only movement on the field. It circled through the air and settled on the blade of Dream's sword. With another breeze the feather was pushed against it and was cut in half from the sharp obsidian. And as the two halves fell on to the snow carpet, the atmosphere was filled with an "ATTACK" from Philza.

The two armies collided like they did back in L, Manburg. This time both armies had less men. Tommy split up from Wilbur and Philza and fought as a pair with Ranboo and Tubbo. As he finished a soldier who was blocking Tommy, Ranboo remembered something.

"Wait, the men!"

"What" Tommy said getting up from the ground with Tubbo's help.

"The extra men don't you remember? Some of the men who are on our side is supposed to be hiding among Dream's army and their supposed to join us now." Ranboo said looking around to see if he could see any people in green armor fighting Dream's men.

"Oh yeah, but I don't really see any more people other than our men." Tommy said looking around a bit confused. Ranboo started to get nervous. He wondered if the men had abandoned them or even worse been caught by Dream. Ranboo was sure Dream would've slaughtered the men once he found out about the second attack.

"Hey Tommy, I'm going to go there for a bit" Tubbo said pointing his sword at few soldiers surrounded by Dream's men. "I think they need help, I'll be back as soon as possible"

"Ok Tubbo be safe!" He said as Tubbo ran off. "Wait..." Tommy noticed something. "Where's Techno?" He asked looking at Ranboo a bit concerned.

"Maybe he's here but somewhere else on the field?" Ranboo said giving a shrug.

"I got to tell Philza, Surely Dream wouldn't leave him out... or... get rid of him...right?" Tommy asked becoming worried and grabbing Ranboo's wrist as Ranboo tried to head off to fight a soldier.

"I... I don't know..." Ranboo said also starting to get worried. Tommy without warning tightened his grip on Ranboo's wrist and started to run. He ran through the battlefield avoiding potential strikes and bodies. He thought if Dream thought that Technoblade wasn't worth anymore and gotten rid of him. He thought what would happen if the worst had happen. He ran until he found Philza or Wilbur, someone who was older and made him feel safe. After a while he saw Philza in the distance. As he threw a soldier off the cliff with his wing Tommy called out to him.

"FATHER! WHERES TECHNOBLADE!" Tommy screamed out and ran up to Philza. Philza looked back and gave a look that told Tommy something wasn't good.

"Father what's the matter? Do you know where Technoblade is? Where is he?" Tommy repeatedly asked Philza while pulling on his coat. Philza didn't respond and kept listening to Tommy ask the questions on repeat. Ranboo didn't join but stood next to Tommy looking at Philza hoping the king was ok. Philza put his hand onto Tommy wrist and pulled it away from his coat.

"Tommy, Technoblade is here. But he's with Dream. And Dream is with Wilbur..."

"WHAT!? THEN WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?! WE SHOULD GO THERE COME ON!" Tommy said freaking out and realizing that Wilbur could be in the mercy of Dream and Technoblade. He grabbed Philza and Ranboo's hand and ran off. He didn't know where at all Wilbur was but he's only thought was to run and find him. After a bit of running the grip on Philza's hand was released and he felt a sudden lift. He found himself on a back and beside him on either side he saw two black wings wide open and in front of him a green and yellow stripped hat covering a head of blond hair. Tommy was taken back to 13 years ago, when his father would give him rides on his back. The times when there wasn't worry and it was just the two of them having fun as a father and son. Back then, Tommy could've swore that he felt two bumps on Philza's back whenever he got on and now in the future here they were same way all those years ago except with the two wings about to take flight.

He looked down next to Philza and saw that Philza was holding Ranboo's hand. The wings did a heavy flap and immediately the 3 of them were in the air. Tommy almost slipping and falling for the force on him instinctively grabbed around Philza's shoulders and hugged tight. Tommy didn't notice the happy smile given by Philza as he did it. They were moving really fast but even then Philza made sure to fly gently as to not let Ranboo feel any hard tugs on the flight. They soared across the sky viewing the fight below them and looking out for Wilbur. After a while Tommy saw Wilbur, Dream and Techno appear in the distance. He told Philza and he glided down as to let Ranboo land safely. He landed and let Tommy off his back and the 3 of them ran off towards them.

As they arrived to where Wilbur was they saw that he was unarmed. His sword and shield was on the floor and Techno had an obsidian axe held to his throat. Dream was standing behind the two with his hands in his pockets and was just giving a smile and not giving the order to Techno to end it. It was like he wanted to taunt Wilbur with life and death.

"HEY DREAM, LET GO OF BOTH OF THEM!" Tommy screamed out as he ran towards Dream with his sword drawn. Philza and Ranboo, not expecting him to do that tried to stop him knowing that either he or Techno would attack and do harm. But Tommy had no intention of letting Dream have power over his brothers. He approached Dream raising his sword but Dream just smiled and as Tommy got closer, Dream lifted his right hand out of his pocket and did a swipe from right to left with his index. Immediately Techno appeared in front of him and blocked the attack from Tommy with a shield. The blade bounced back and hit Tommy vertically in the middle of his face. Falling onto the snow he gave a moan that caught Techno. It was the same moan from 2 years ago, in his room and on the damaged floorboards. When he's emotions took over and hurt Tommy. Techno may have been under Dream's control, but the love he had for his brothers overpowered him. Techno dropped the obsidian axe in his hands. Dream looked down at the axe on the floor with wide eyes and a concerned look. His smile immediately disappearing. Dream's left eye started to tear a little. He lifted his sword and using the reflection of it, saw that both his eyes were green again. Lowering the sword he was met with Techno turning his head and looking at Dream with a threatening look, the look of the old Technoblade.

Techno not thinking about Dream rushed over to Philza, Wilbur and Ranboo who was sitting next to Tommy and trying to help. Tommy's cut wasn't too bad. It was only a small cut across his forehead.

"Tommy, you okay?" Techno asked lifting Tommy's hair.

"TECHNO YOUR BACK!" Philza screamed out seeing Techno with both his blue eyes. But Techno ignored him. He may not have known who this black and white person wearing the mask was, how he and everyone was on a hill and how Tommy got the cut, but he cared for Tommy's health since the incident.

"Techno...? Techno- YOUR BACK! YOUR ACTUALLY BACK!" Tommy screamed and jumped out hugging Technoblade, the pain from the cut not affecting him for how happy he was to see Technoblade his old self again. All of them stood back up to face Dream, who after seeing Techno break out of his control was stunned a bit. Wilbur was still unarmed and Philza, Tommy and Ranboo only had swords without a shield but having Technoblade back on their side they felt like they had the upper hand again.

"Dream, you failed, again. And this time were going to make sure that we end this right here right now" Techno said swinging his sword. Dream who was back to his ruthless self, looked at them and just smiled.

"OH FOR GODS SAKE WHY THE HELL DO YOU SMILE SO MUCH" Tommy shouted out, hating that twisted smile.

"Because you all always think you won but it's just sad to see that you're only living a fantasy." Dream said still continuing the smile. "But speaking of smiles, Ranboo what happened to that smile of yours buddy?" Dream said expecting everyone there to be confused and turn on Ranboo once he removed the mask he was wearing.

"They know Dream" Ranboo said and pulled his mask of throwing it on the ground. "And I know" He said lifting his sword and pointing it at him. Dream raised a brow.

"Well then I guess you all are smarter than I thought. I thought" Dream said. They knew he meant something more when he said that. Immediately Dream disappeared from their view. All of them were looking at him and in a second he was gone leaving behind green particles. As they looked around to see where he went they heard someone.
