The eerie evening rays of the setting sun poured down upon the Kingdom of L'Manburg. A chilling breeze cut through the milky fog and brushed up against a figure standing on a brick-based landing. The boots that roamed the halls of the Palace now rested on the isolated balcony, atop the towering monument; the aged bricks collectively displaying the stone craftsmanship of long-forgotten builders. The figure stood, back straight and shoulders back, but the tautness of his daily training was absent. His hands rested on the fenced iron bars, the teachings of his scholars ever so slightly managing each finger. The grace of a prince was rooted in his humane habits, but at this moment, he would forget everything.

The view from the palace-top balcony was one he couldn't live without. It was a moment where time froze, with no one to worry about, no one to rule him. He stood on the neatly laid bricks of the balcony overlooking the whole kingdom and high plateau beyond it. He was at a peace of mind and was in a different world of his own.

A pair of footsteps followed down the stairs behind him. The palace maid timidly stood behind the Prince and softly called out his name.

"Prince Wilbur? His Majesty requests that you come to dinner now." He turned sharp to face her and nodded an acknowledging dismissal. He made his way down the three floors of the Palace to the ground floor, where the towering large wooden doors, stood closing the dining hall, two guards on either side, awaiting the Prince's presence.

As he was entered to the hall, he was greeted with a vibrant welcome. His eyes shot to the table where he saw his younger brother scramble off his seat and dash into him with a crushing hug to his knees.

"Why do you always stand out there all the time, it's so cold!" his younger brother Tommy whined, looking up at him.

"He eventually needs some time to himself, Tom" said Technoblade, coming up beside them and ruffling Tommy's hair. He let out a crooked smirk as Tommy cried out and tried to shove his hand away.

"Hey! You know Wilbur loves playing with me! And stop messing my hair!"

"All right, all right boys, calm down; we don't need to have a fight already" the Queen's voice spoke from the end of the table. The Queen, was a plump woman. She always graced a warm welcome to everyone she met. Her jet black hair sprouted out like a cluster of draped ribbons, framing her shoulders. Her eyes were a soft hazel brown, a gaze that never failed to embody the feeling of peace and pure love.

"Wilbur, it's okay to be out, but don't stay out for too long" said his Highness, Philza. Philza was the King of L'Manburg and the father of three sons. He had straight, long, blond hair that hugged his neck flat. He wore a raven black robe that draped his arms and back, trailing behind him. His eyes were a piercing sky blue. They could show threat, yet be kind. They could show coldness, yet be loving. He was a kind heart, but had the backbone of pure power and control.

"Yes Father, I know" Wilbur stated, sitting down in a seat between his brothers. Dinner wasn't served yet, and as they waited, Tommy took his role to spark up a conversation.

Tommy was eight; filled with a curiosity and energy that seemed to run with no end. He had his father's blue eyes, a pair that spoke his thoughts even before he himself registered them. His hair was dirty blond and curly, a young bubbly spring to the same coils his mother had. He refused to get it cut, letting it manifest like his whirlwind of a personality. Tommy would spend his days, wandering wherever he pleased, making talk with Palace guards and workers.
