The next morning I woke up confused.

Mattheo said some stuff that made him look bad, but then said he was just saying that for his friends.

He wasn't famous for his honesty, but I didn't know if he was lying to me or to his friends.

I walked out of my room after I changed made my way into the slytherin common room to find Mattheo .

Guess who I ran into.

The same group of boys laughing, this time they were joined by Maya.

"I said the fakest shit in there oh my god."

Mattheo had his arm draped across mayas shoulders, and her head nestled into his.

"Well you made a recovery and that's good." The blonde boy from the previous day said.

"I heard someone say they heard you say you loved her," Another member of the group said.

"Well,whatever you've heard, I didn't say or mean any of it."

Mattheo laughed, then so did the rest of them.

"Right, we've got to set up for this dumb party."

"It was your idea Mattheo."

The group stood up to prepare and stopped dead in there tracks once they saw me.

"That's unfortunate." Maya said in a patronising manner.

"Shit."

That's all Theo came up with.

I knew I shouldn't have trusted him.

I should've listened to Valerie.

I turned and left for my common room, angry and annoyed.

But I was also sad.

Stupid of me.

I shouldn't have let such an idiotic boy make me feel like this.

I needed to do something fun.

The party.

I know, I know- why would you go to your ex's party?

The only answer I have...

I arrived back to a nearly empty common room.

It's only occupant was a brown haired ravenclaw, who was sat quietly reading a book.

He looked up when the door closed.

"Hey, you ok?" He asked once he noticed the single tear rolling slowly down my cheek.

"Yeah, tough day."

"How can you already be having a tough day when it's only 3:30?"

He closed his book.

"Just been hard." I replied, taking a deep breath.

"Come on you can tell me." He said, patting the seat next to him, "why's a pretty girl like you so sad?"

I went and sat beside him, and sighed glumly.

"There's this boy I've been speaking to and I actually like him but he's just been using me..."

"Using you? What an idiot."

"Yeah and the icing on the cake- I thought he liked me too."

"Well, any boy using you would be foolish. I've known you two seconds and I can tell that you're smart, kind, and I mean, obviously beautiful."

I smiled at him before the room fell silent again.

He slowly said goodbye and started to stand up.

"Wait." I said, standing up with him.

"Yes?"

"There's a party tonight, I want you to come with me."

He smiled.

"I'll see you there."

There you have it, the start of a master plan.

Make the shitty ex jealous in an attempt to make him fall in love with you, become a power couple, and then everyone lives happily ever after.

Except they don't.
