Meanwhile, Jiaqi and Chengxin were lying in Jiaqi's king sized bed that evening. Jiaqi's dad was out, he was usually busy with work. While he had lost his mother several years ago.
Jiaqi spent most of his time alone except for when he was with his boyfriend Zhenyuan who visited frequently. Recently though, even Zhenyuan had gotten busy.
Although Jiaqi allowed Chengxin to kiss him and touch him, Chengxin knew that it didn't mean that Jiaqi loved him. It could simply mean Jiaqi was using him because Zhenyuan was not around.
"So do you and your boyfriend love each other?" Chengxin ask Jiaqi as he stroked his hair while Jiaqi was leaning on his chest.
"What? Where is that question coming from?" Jiaqi asked.
"Nothing I'm just curious."
"Well...I guess so." Jiaqi answered unsurely. He did not want to talk about it.
"Really?" Chengxin repeated to be sure.
Jiaqi nodded. "Yes. Just that Zhenyuan was chosen for me by my father so he means so much to me."
"Your father allowed you to be gay?" Chengxin asked with surprise.
"Well he wasn't happy at first, but later he accepted it. And he wanted me to be with Zhenyuan, his business partner's friend." Jiaqi explained.
Chengxin started to feel a bit jealous with the explanation.
"And what am I to you?" Chengxin asked the boy.
"You? You're my friend."
Chengxin felt dissapointed. He wanted to get up and storm out, but that would be dramatic. But he stopped touching Jiaqi's hair subconsciously.
"I see," he finally answered.
"But just because you're my friend it doesn't mean that I love Zhenyuan more than I love you," he admitted. "You and I can never be together but you mean so much to me. If things were different, I would have probably chose you, but I can't ever leave Zhenyuan."
Chengxin wondered if that made him feel any better or not. Either way, Jiaqi had confirmed Chengxin's fears that they would never be together.
But it was obvious. It didn't mean they couldn't spend time together while Zhenyuan and Jiaqi's dad were away anyway.
Chengxin smiled and kissed him.
