Episode 20

"Hey Yaowen, don't you think Yaxuan and Chengxin have a thing going on?" Haoxiang asked him as he was helping Yaowen unpack his clothes in one of the rooms.

"I think so too but why would Yaxuan date Chengxin knowing he's with Jiaqi?" Yaowen replied. "Unless Chengxin broke up with Jiaqi?"

Haoxiang shook his head. "He wouldn't."

"That's crazy, I guess Yaxuan is just lonely and went for it." Yaowen shrugged.

"Aren't you lonely?" Haoxiang asked Yaowen suggestively.

Yaowen laughed. "Nah."

"You're really sure about dating next year?" He continued.

"Why are you suddenly so concerned?"

"Uh you see..." Haoxiang started to lie. "I was also hoping to date next year but I...don't want to date without any experience. So I was wondering if you would like to playfully date me."

"Playfully date you?" Yaowen raised his eye brow.

"Yeah just in preparation for dating next year," he chuckled nervously.

"You're just lonely." Yaowen suggested. "You see...Kiara is a nice girl, I could..."

"No I want you," Haoxiang admitted then bit his lip nervously. "I mean I want to playfully date you, because we're so close. So it will be easier."

"Um, okay." Yaowen nodded playfully. "I guess we'll play date."

"Thanks!" Haoxiang answered a bit too excitedly. He knew that Yaowen it was just playful but to him it kind of meant something. At least they were now a step closer.

Later that evening, Yaowen and Haoxiang sat on the porch as the sky darkened.

"So what's the reason you're not ready to date yet?" Yaowen asked Haoxiang curiously. "You're really goodlooking."

"Well, can I be honest with you? I never really fell in love because I always found myself unlovable." Haoxiang sighed. Well, Yaowen was the first person to steal his heart despite what Haoxiang thought of himself.

"You??? Unlovable?" Yaowen frowned. "Come on. Why?"

"That's what most people said to me when I was younger...in elementary school and high school." He admitted sadly. "so the words just stuck. I think about them a lot you know."

"Well you shouldn't, words are just words." Yaowen pulled Haoxiang closer and put his hand on his back. "Don't say that boyfriend. I think you're loveable...and I love you." He jokingly said.

Those words stuck to Haoxiang and he smiled. "Okay boyfriend."

The two of them laughed together, and Yaowen had no clue that his friend actually liked him.
