Episode 7

Junlin sat at the back seat along with his friends, who reluctantly joined him only to retrieve the diary. While Junlin laughed with his other friends, Yaxuan was crawling under the desk and reaching for Junlin’s bag, hoping he would find the diary inside of it.

“So I was like…you’re the one in trouble dude.” Ziyi said to Junlin who started laughing at the story they were discussing.

“Silence please,” the lecturer announced as he walked in, and it was Dr. Zhang. Dr. Zhang was Zhang Zhenyuan’s uncle and a lecturer in EDF. The large class slowly quiet down and most of the students looked forward.

“I don’t like this class,” Junlin said as he reached for his bag. “Let’s read this diary I found.” he took it out of his bag and put it on the table.

“A diary?” Zhixin, another one of Junlin’s friends, asked. He looked down the desk and saw a nervous looking Yaxuan beneath it. “Yaxuan?”

Yaxuan put his finger on his lips to indicate that Zhixin should be silent and should not overreact.

“What are you looking at beneath the desk?” Ziyi asked Zhixin in surprise.

“Oh umm…Junlin’s shoe. It’s really nice.” Zhixin lied.

“I know!” Junlin agreed and attempted to put his foot on the desk. But when he did, he kicked Yaxuan’s nose. He had to hold back a scream as he held his painful nose. “It’s original.” Junlin continued.

“So let me start…” Junlin started to flip through the diary.

Yaxuan couldn’t help it. He jumped out from beneath the desk and started pulling the diary. “Don’t read it Junlin! It’s very sensitive!”

The students who were in the front was startled by the noise and they turned around to the back of the class, seeing the students who were fighting over a diary.

“The more sensitive the better!” Junlin answered as he pulled back on the diary.

“Hey! Give back that diary!” Haoxiang interrupted and snatched the diary.

But it wasn’t long before Ziyi joined the fight over the diary and started pulling as well. There was a lot of commotion at the back of the class. The diary then ended up with Yaowen.

“What is going on back there!? That’s it, bring the diary to the front. You’ll have it back after classes.” Dr. Zhang demanded.

“But Dr. Zhang…” Yaowen started.

“Now please. And doesn’t that belong to Jiaqi?” Dr. Zhang asked, clearly seeing the color and the letters MJQ on it. Dr. Zhang knew about Zhenyuan and Jiaqi’s relationship, so Jiaqi was like a son to him. There were several times he had visited Jiaqi’s place when he had to pick up or meet Zhenyuan, so he had seen Jiaqi with the diary before.

Yaowen had no choice but to walk to the front of the class to hand it over.

“Oh no!” Yaxuan said with tears and turned to Haoxiang. “It’s all my fault! Now Zhenyuan’s uncle will know Jiaqi’s secret!”

“What’s in that diary? A plan to destroy the world?” Junlin rolled his eyes.

“Well it might destroy someone’s world,” Haoxiang sighed.

Just then, Chengxin rushed into the class. He quickly sat between Yaxuan and Haoxiang while he tried to get his books out.

“Sorry I’m late guys, I was with my mom.” Chengxin said, but they all knew where he had been.

“Suuure.” Haoxiang answered sarcastically, although he was more worried about the diary.
