Your lips pressed in a thin line
Veins protruding through your skin
Chipped nail polish fluttering too the ground
The ocean lapping against ankles
His tongue as he laughs
And points too the fluffy candy in his hands
The crinkle in his eyes as he smiles with sky stained teeth
The ticket for the ride punched a star shape
His hands tightly bound into a fist squeezing the sapphire rose he holds
His eyes turn from a sunny day to simmering blue grey clouds and then
I'm gone
