I looked at the clothes in the store.
Ripped jeans
Long sleeve shirts
Princess Ana on a pajama dress
My heart clenched
I swallowed
There was a heavy dread
A heartbreak inside of me
Little kids don't deserve evil things
No one does
But especially an innocent child
What clothes do you buy a little girl
To make her feel happy and loved
When every article you pick up makes tear prick at your eyes
Too short
Too tight
Too thin
Too this
Too that
I could only pick out a sweater for when she's cold, a stuffed pink pig to hold when she was sad and a panda shirt to look at and hopefully smile.
