They noticed her almost immediately, sprinting after her as she made the horse go faster.
But when they shot the horse multiple times in a row it caused them to fall to the ground and Makayla quickly rolled to the side down the hill and hid behind a big tree.
With her back she slid down the stem.

"Fuck.." she grunted and peeked from behind the tree, realizing she still was in the lead so she ran down the hill when she saw a bunch of houses and the opportunity to hide.
"She's running for the cabins!"
She heard someone shout from behind her as she jumped through a window of one of the houses, grabbing as many supplies as she could.
She hid behind a wardrobe when she heard the snow cracking from the outside,
"Are we really killing her? David said he wants her alive."
Makayla carefully inhaled and exhaled before she jumped out of the window and right into another.

She was now in the last house, searching through after managing to kill few of David's men. But she still had to find a way out of there and run into the woods and hide until the coast is clear and she can get back to Joel.
She tried to breathe as quietly as possible although she was out of breath. The good thing was that she couldn't hear any more voices outside the house.
But the good feeling of safety vanished as soon as she heard the flooring squeal.
Her eyes widened before she hid behind the couch, crouching so she wouldn't be seen.
"Where the fuck are you.." an unknown voice sounded and she peeked her head out to see the man better. And she didn't hesitate when he turned to her with his back and she jumped over the couch launching at him bedore she choked him to death and slowly placed his lifeless body on the floor.
When she looked in front of herself she saw the exit as she went for it, pushing the door open when suddenly something hard hit her in the head and she fell to her knees.
"Keeping you alive here.." David whispered in her ear as he grabbed her and started to choke her. She already felt gone from the impact to her head so it took only a few seconds before she passed out.

Her eyes slowly fluttered open. Her head was pounding so hard it was making her vision blury.
She slowly looked around, and jumped up once she realized she was in a cell.
In front of her was a man, cutting something on a high table and Makayla gulped hard once she saw the cut off hand fall down. He was cutting up a human body like it was nothing.
She stepped back, releasing a shaky breath and that made the man turn around. It was the guy from before, James.
He looked at her and went to leave the room and just after he did that not even five seconds later, David came in.
