"Alright, on me." Joel said, getting on his horse.

"C'mon girl." Makayla patted Shimmer's back as she jumped up and then she made Shimmer move, trotting after Joel.

...

"The music store's up that way. We're gonna have to leave the horses here."

Joel said as they got there.

They jumped down from the horses and jumped through a fence appearing on some kind of road near some buildings.

"There it is." Joel said, looking forward and they moved.

There was a van in the way as Makayla jumped over but she stopped in her tracks as soon as she saw a fallen ground and the road was too high, impossible to climb.

"Joel I don't think we can go through here."

"What?" Joel asked and jumped on top of the car, "Damn. Used to be able to swim across this. We could try cutting through that hotel if you're up for it.

"I'm up for it." Makayla said and Joel pulled her up and they both jumped back down, making their way towards the hotel.

Makayla tried wiggling the handle,

"Dammit. It's locked."

Joel looked around, noticing some bits from the fallen roof near the door. There was a small hole in it as he bend down to examine it.

"There's a way through. You think you could fit in there?" He called out and Makayla came to him, "It's worth a shot."

Joel lifted it up, just to give Makayla enough acces to get through as she started crawling.

"Careful now." Joel warned but she got in just fine.

"I'm through! Hold on!"

"Alright!"

Makayla turned the flashlight on and started making her way through, taking some supplies on the way until she got to the main door.

It was barricated by an iron rod.

She got rid of it and opened the door for him, "Well hello."

"Howdy." Joel said leaning against the door frame before he stepped inside.

"You impressed?" She asked and closed the door.

"No." Joel simply answered, making Makayla roll her eyes before she followed him.

"This place is giving me the creeps." She grimaced as they were walking down the hallway. It was so dark inside.

Joel turned to look at her, "I think I see a way through but we got spores. Put your mask on." He said already putting his on.

"Ugh. Do I have to? It's just us."

"What If we run into someone?"

"Alright fine." She put her mask on and Joel pushed a wardrobe out of their way so they could get through.

"You gotta be smart about this. You stop wearing that mask and eventually you're going to slip up in front of someone you shouldn't."

"I've never slipped." Makayla stated and Joel looked at her, "You ain't told nobody new, have you? Like Jesse, or Dina or-"

"Of course not."

"Okay good." Joel said, stopping in front of a hole in the wall.

He climbed it through first and Makayla went right after him.

They stopped once they saw a shot clicker on the ground, stuck to a wall.

"Looks like it was shot a while back." Joel analyzed it.
