The Detroit city was highly secured by checkpoints and David's men.
But Makayla managed to find a way in without bringing attention to herself.
Making her way through the tunnels under the city didn't seem too bad expect for the awful smell.
Until she heard an echoing clicking sound.
She stopped and her heartbeat quickened when she took out her bow and kept walking forward.
She tried to be quick but quiet.
And as she was getting closer to the end of the tunnel she saw three clickers right underneath the exit.
She stood straight, streching her bow and aiming it right at the head of the one closest to her.
She had to be precise.
The arrow went through it's head, ending it's existence but the body falling to the ground created a thump.
The other two clickers noticed, wandering around in small circles while screeching a little louder.
She switched the bow for a gun. It was gonna be easier now that there's two of them.
So she started firing using a damper not to alert the people above the ground.
It took two hits in brain for each. But the coast was clear now.
She grabbed onto the ladder and began to grip up until she got to the cover, lightly pushing against it to see if it was safe to get out.
When she saw and heard no one she got out and closed it behind her, running into the nearest building.
It was a pet shop and she got in through a broken window.
She took some ammo and food before she jumped behind the counter, taking out the map.
"A pet shop.." she mumbled to herself, searching for it on the map and she smiled wildly as soon as her finger landed on it, "Got it."
The place where David was wasn't far away. In fact it was pretty close.
Monroe street..
"This is it." She closed her eyes, exhaling loudly when she flinched at a strange noise.
She looked at the window, realizing it was just rain.
Great, just what I needed
She grabbed her stuff and walked out, making sure it was safe to walk around but she still made sure she stayed in shadows.
...
After only a few minutes of walking through the city she got to the location.
The streets were completely empty on the way there, David had his men clear it out from infected but this particular street, was full of his idiots.
They were armed, walking around to kill any intruder.
She got into the apartment house right across David, walking up the stairs and entering a room with a good view.
She started counting..
5..8...11..16...21...
A sigh full of frustration escaped her lips. There was too many of them everywhere. No one could get through them by force and end up alive.
But she wasn't going to give up. Not when she already came this far.
"Fuck I can't believe I'm about to do this." She cursed, her voice a bit unsure and shaky but her mind was already all made up. She walked back down, standing in front of the exit door that would expose her to them as soon as she opens them.
She made sure her hands were empty before she pushed the door open, holding her breath.
"What the fuck!" She heard one of them call out and they all aimed their guns at her.
She walked out with her arms above her head, as a sign of surrender.
The one man that stood straight in front of the main gate took a few steps forward. His walk was confident but lazy.
Makayla stopped right in front of him since she heard a few guns clicking.
"What are you doing little girl? You lost?"
"Do I look lost?" Makayla spat back.
"Don't you be getting smart with me!" The man shouted, aiming his gun right at her forehead but her words made him tense,
"Tell David his favourite girl is back."
All the men started exchanging gazes, confusion written all over their faces.
The one in front of her, eyed her up and down before nodding at the men around, "Grab her and bring her inside."
Four of them surrounded her, grabbing her and taking her inside.
The yard was filled with even more men.
They're eyes were hungry as they watched her, she just didn't know if it was for sex or meat.
"Move." The man near her pulled her arm to make her walk faster.
She grimaced when she saw a dead woman's body further away in the yard. Even from far she could smell it.
They opened the door and led her down a cold and scary looking hallway and her eyes widened when she noticed where they were taking her.
It was a big spacious cell full of unarmed women and little girls. Some of them shaken up, some beaten and some dead.

They opened the door of the cell and ripped the backpack off her back.
One of them pushed her from behind, making her stumble forward and before she could find her balance he hit the back of her head with his gun, making her fall unconscious.
