Gun couldn't walk home and scare his sister with his undoubtedly puffy face. Gun called Tay, since his house was closer.
"Pet?" Tay answered. Gun couldn't help continue to sob. "Turn on your location. I'm coming." Tay said and hung up. Gun did as he was told and shared his location. Within minutes Tay drove to Gun's location. He got out of the car and embraced Gun. Gun found it soothing. He calmed down enough to get in Tay's car. Tay was silent on the drive back to his place.
Once back at Tay's place, he handed Gun tea. Gun sipped it slowly. "Thanks Tay." Gun said. "Anytime." Tay responded. "Mind telling me what happened." Tay prodded. Gun was quiet. He didn't know how to explain to Tay. He still felt terrible for not considering Off's feelings. "Am I selfish?" Gun whispered. Tay shook his head. "You are a super selfless person, Gun. You always think of others. Granted, the only time you put yourself first is when you buy designer bags." Tay said. Gun cracked a smile. "Off and I had a fight. A really bad one. He called me out on my behavior these past couple of months. He said that I was too stubborn and that he always compromised to my whims. I feel like such a terrible person." Gun admitted.
Tay held Gun's hand. "Hey, look at me." Tay directed. Gun looked up into Tay's warm eyes. "You are not a terrible person. Sure you made questionable choices, but you were well within your right to do whatever you wanted. Let me repeat this to your pretty little head. You are single. The minute Off ended your relationship, you are free." Tay comforted Gun, playing with Gun's hair, soothing him. "Besides, you also compromised. You did not go to events if you thought Oab or Joss were going to be there. You mostly hung out with Off and his friends. You rarely hung out with your friends because of Off's possessiveness. You always cooked extra dishes that weren't spicy because Off couldn't handle it. Gun, you did a lot for the relationship too. It wasn't just one person making it work." Tay said. Gun nodded agreeing to what Tay said because he was right.
"Well it's over now. Officially." Gun said sadly. "I feel like I ruined it." Gun pouted. Tay continued to play with Gun's hair. "Do you still love him?" Tay asked. Gun thought about it. He didn't know if he still loved Off. Gun was mad at himself for hurting Off, but did that mean he still loved him? "I don't know. I gave up on us a while back. He came back and told me all these things and made me feel like shit. I guess I'm confused." Gun softly talked about his feelings. "You're confused?" Tay continued, "What's so confusing? All you need to do is listen to your heart." Tay beamed and poked at Gun's heart. Gun froze. He was starting to hate himself. Of course his dumb heart skipped a beat when Tay did that.
Gun didn't want to admit it, but he ignored all the warm feelings that came when he hung out with Tay. Tay is such a bright person. He always made Gun laugh. He was always there to comfort Gun and was always there to celebrate Gun. Gun didn't know when it started, but he knew that he couldn't ignore his feelings much longer. Gun snapped out of his thoughts.
"Phi. Thank you." Gun sincerely thanked Tay. Tay held Gun's gaze. The moment filled with a high tension. Gun could feel himself hold his breath. Both just stared into each other's eyes. Eff it, Gun thought to himself and slowly leaned in. Tay didn't move, and than encouraged Gun to take the initiative. Gun gave Tay a soft peck and quickly parted. When Gun finished he was about to apologize profusely when Tay pulled Gun's face towards him and kissed him again, surprising Gun with the spontaneity. Gun slightly parted his lips, letting Tay in. The way this kiss felt was different from all the other kisses Gun experienced. This kiss had so much care. Tay was careful with Gun. He would adapt to Gun. Gun quickly moved away. The kiss scared Gun. Tay is Off's best friend and Gun hurt Off enough already. "I'm so sorry Phi. I got caught in the moment. Really sorry. Thank you so much for tonight. I need to head out now, Pim is waiting for me." Gun rapidly said and hurried out of the apartment leaving behind a confused Tay.
