As it turns out, Emery rocks at chicken fight.

His massive determination to push an entire human being despite his size while being lifted three feet over the ocean, added to Cameron's unwavering stature made it easy for the two to obliterate Cate and Allison within the first ten minutes of the first round.

"You pushed me!" Asher's sister exclaimed, irritated while Cate just grinned, nonetheless elated for the workout she gained carrying a-hundred-pound teenager on her back while dodging her brother's unsolicited blows.

Cate gazed up and steadied herself before saying, "I don't know what you've been doing all this time but that kind of is the point of the game, Al."

Allison let out one final groan before letting herself fall from Cate's shoulders to watch the rest of the fight. After they won the first round, Ian and Bryce were set next to play against Cameron and Emery, who had a tad upper hand against the pair after having a few minutes to idle around doing nothing, essentially gathering enough energy to win against the couple.

"Fair warning," Emery spoke, pointing his finger at Bryce who all but raised his brow in return. "Your boyfriend's a sore loser."

Ian gasped. "No, I am not!"

Emery scoffed. "Remember Thanksgiving 2015 when we played Scrabble with your old neighbor Joe?"

"Hey! He knew what he was getting into," Ian huffed.

"I don't think he did," Emery leaned over to whisper something to Cam, which, judging by the latter's reaction was a detailed explanation of how Ian made poor Joe cry after losing to the word "fartlek".

Unsurprisingly, the brunet was not impressed. "Hey-!"

Emery and Ian, who by the way were both anything but a picnic to have sitting on one's shoulders, went on in their ceaseless arguments while Bryce and Cameron exchanged looks of exasperation at their partners' disposal, legs going weak with the weight that only seemed to get heavier by the second, until Bryce managed to interrupt.

"Hey! You two better quit it 'cause my insurance doesn't cover spine surgeries," he said.

"You calling me fat?" Ian scowled at him.

Bryce rolled his eyes at him before opening his. "Yes, babe that's exactly what I meant," he muttered, sarcastic.

Eventually, the four decided to begin the game after Blake threatened to feed them moldy bread if they don't get on with their asses. After winning against Cate and Allison, Cam and Em had their confidence high to back them up. To their impaired luck, however, Ian and Bryce were a lot more skilled than they'd anticipated, and they would've lost upon Ian's first hit if it weren't for Cameron's quick reflexes.

"Yikes," Asher commented. "Amateur miss, Ian."

Emery snickered, glancing at his best friend, who looked disappointed with his miss. Cameron's hand was on his back, the boy nowhere near willing to lose judging by his other hand gripping firmly on Emery's knee.
