Alastor quieted down.

"I would just have died a long time ago if I were in your shoes; you're braver than most."

Angel gave a cold laugh.

"It's not about being brave; I just don't want to die, but instead I want to die because one of my deals went wrong, not because I enraged Val."

Angel washed his own chest fur as he nodded and they both fell silent. After a while. Angel was getting ready to wash his face and hair.

"You still around smiles? "Of course darling, why ask? "

Angel guffawed at his remark.

"Well, I'm blind to the world right now, so you could easily flee."Oh, I hadn't considered that."

Which wasn't entirely true, but he didn't want to put Angel through any more distress than he already must have been. Angel laughed thinking of how almost everything goes by Alastor's head.As Alastor looked at the door and heard the water running, he felt his hand shake involuntarily.

'Fucking stop it, you aren't even near it'

He grabbed his arms and leaned down a little, trying not to get lost in his own thoughts; he couldn't remember Angel, let alone Angel getting dressed.
He did, however, hear something other than running water.

"Alastor!"

Alastor's head snapped as he looked at him, finally realizing he's as dressed as he can be, fluffy PJ pants and an oversize shirt
'weird he never wears a shirt to bed'
"You're wearing a shirt?"

Angel laughed, realizing how out of touch Alastor is with the rest of the world.

"You're really out of it, Smiles." That wasn't an answer."

Angel came to a halt and glared at him, wondering why he was being so direct. He changes moods like a fucking flip book, but he always has the stupid fucking smile on his face.

"Well, dumbass, it's on for your sanity, I thought you'd enjoy not seeing my naked body"

'That's nice,' Alastor thought, nodding.

Alastor rose to his feet.
" Would you like me to escort you to your room?"

Angel smirked, attempting to conceal his wariness at entering a small room alone.

"Na Smiles, I'm just gonna sleep in the lobby like a bum"

Alastor looked perplexed, as if something was off about Angel that he couldn't put his finger on.

"Why don't you want to enter your room? It's a private area for you."

Angel glared at him, thinking, 'How dare he presume shit about me?" Unlike him, I don't GET the luxury of a fucking safe haven.'

"Listen to me, you shithead; I can't have a safe space because of people like you and all the other lords of this fucking plane of existence."

Angel crouched down, getting in Alastor's face,

"Never, except for Lords, assume anyone has ever had a safe space; we don't have magic we can use to hide."

Alastor glared at Angel; it was a simple fucking question, and Angel should not be angry. Alastor sighed and nodded, annoyed by Angel's emotions at the moment.

"Do you want me to accompany you to the lobby?"

"I would really enjoy that," Angel said with a slight nod.

They exchanged a slight smile. They then walked and talked until they arrived at the lobby.

"You're very interesting; we should talk more often." "Then we have to make it worth our time."

That response baffled and flabbergasted Alastor.

"What? What exactly do you mean?"

"Well, as you are aware. Val and Charlie have both been up my ass. Because of Charlie, I've gotten into a lot more trouble with Val."

Alastor nodded, still perplexed as to how that prompted him to say that, though he is gradually coming to understand the implications.

"To cut a long story short, I'm probably not going to live much longer"oh..."

Angel shrugged, grabbing his shaking hands.
