Chapter 6

The next day Deepak woke up early and got ready and went downstairs. Arjun just woke up and came down to see Deepak sitting on the couch and watching T.V.

"Did the sunrise from the west today? You got ready and came down early, going somewhere?" Arjun asks sitting next to Deepak lazily.

Deepak took out his tab and typed something with a serious face and pushed the tab towards Arjun.

["I decided to call her Mom today."] Reading that a small smile appeared on his face.

"Ok, but she will come to the cafe in the evening not in the morning, remember?" Listening to Arjun, Deepak puffed his cheeks.

"Why don't you practice till then? You will get confidence also." Arjun suggested Deepak. Nodding his head he runs to his room.

Harsha who came back from his jogging saw everything. A smile appeared on his face. But soon the smile was replaced with a frown.

"Why did she agree that early? According to the information, she is Divorced recently as for anyone's general knowledge no one would marry right after divorce. Then why did she agree?" Harsha went to his room thinking about her decision from agreeing and he still couldn't understand why?

"She's something." Saying that Harsha sighs and leaves for his office.

Time passed just like that. Ragini on the other hand was getting ready for her work. She sighed looking at herself in the mirror.

"Look I know you loved him and I also know that you don't want to marry Harsha. But you don't want Deepak to grow like you, right?" Ragini asked herself looking at herself.

"Shit Ragini, you are gone mad your talking to yourself?" Ragini scolded herself. Standing up she left for her work.

As she expected before Ragini arrives there Deepak and Arjun sat there but what she saw was Harsha was also there. But both Deepak and Harsha were staring at each other more like glaring. Hearing the bell they both turned towards the door only to find Ragini.

Deepak and Arjun stood upon seeing her and Harsha leaned back on his chair crossing his arms over his chest. Ragini gave Deepak and Arjun a smile and rolled her eyes at Harsha. Harsha's eyes became shocked when she smile at Deepak and Arjun but rolled her eyes at her.

'I am the most powerful businessman in Mumbai and no one dares to offend me but she...she is not at all scared of me?' He thought.

He came out of his thoughts by listening to a voice.

"Why are you guys here?" Ragini asks them.

"Sis, you know why we are here then why are you asking?" Arjun said and Deepak nodded.

"Yes I know, but this is my workplace. And I have already given you my number Arjun, Deepak can talk to me on a phone too. Now talk, I don't have much time to sit here and chat with you guys." Ragini said looking at her watch there is still so much time for her work but she doesn't want them to stay in the cafe for very long.

Deepak and Harsha stared at Arjun with sharp eyes as they get to know he had her number. Arjun gulped feeling their stare at him.

"I...I forgot. Sorry?" He said apologetically looking at father and son.

"Deepak agreed to your condition," Harsha said in a monotone.

"So?" Ragini said looking at Harsha.

"So? Huh So?" Harshat was too shocked to hear her reply.

"I mean he can reply himself if he wants, right Deepak?" Ragini asked looking at Deepak. Harsha smiled listening to her and Arjun chuckled.

"Yes, Deepak answers her," Harsha said.

"Yes, yes answer," Arjun said chuckling.

Deepak stared at the three elder people with wide eyes and puffed his cheeks.

"Call her Mom son," Harsha said with a soft tone.

"Yes, Deepak call her Mom to make her your mother." Arjun also said. Ragini frowns at both of them.

Deepak opened his mouth but couldn't speak anything. He tried again but couldn't speak anything. He felt a different pressure.

Ragini smiled looking at his effort but frowned and turned at Arjun and Harsha.

"What are you two doing? You guys are pressurizing him." Ragini said in a monotone. Both Harsha and Arjun are shocked to see her like that. While Deepak smiled at Ragini and showed his tongue to Harsha and Arjun. Ragini bends to Deepak's height.

"Deepak come with me." Ragini gives her hand to Deepak and he holds her hand happily and stands up.

Ragini took him to another table a little far from Arjun and Harsha.

"You know, whenever I look at you a smile comes over my face." Ragini smiled looking at him. Deepak also smiled seeing her smile.

"Don't you have any doubt that I accepted your father's proposal when he asked me in one attempt?" Deepak frowned and nodded his head slowly she smiles seeing his honesty.

"If your father had proposed to me to be his wife I would have rejected him immediately but h asked me to be your mother. That's the reason I accepted his proposal. I want to be your mother Deepak, but you need to call me Mom. I accepted you as my son wholeheartedly. And if you also accept me wholeheartedly nothing can stop you from calling me your Mom. And I also want to hear your voice." Ragini ruffled his hair and looked at her watch.

"I'll change and get you a pineapple pastry." Saying that Ragini went to change. Deepak just stared at Ragini's disappearing figure and closed his eyes. Deepak saw the emotions that he craved. He saw the motherly love in Ragini's eyes.

Harsha and Arjun come near the table and looks at Deepak. They both didn't say anything and were silent. After eating the pastry Harsha wanted Arjun and Deepka to go home he stood up and want to walk them to the car.

Deepak suddenly stopped near the door and turned towards Ragini who was busy near the counter with some work.

"Ma" Harsha and Arjun stopped in their place and looked down to see Deepak looking at Ragini. And Ragini who was busy writing something stopped and turned to see Deepak looking at her. She want to confirm whether what happened was real or not and looked at Harsha who was in the same shock.

"Deepak?" Ragini wanted to conform herself and calls out his name.

"Ma" Calling her that Deepak runs towards her. Ragini also kneels and embraces him tightly. She never knew the feeling that a mother feels when her child calls her Ma but when Harsha proposed to her she wanted to feel that emotion to be called Ma by him. She cried embracing him. Deepak and Arjun also go near them.

"Deepak call me Pa," Harsha asked turning Deepak towards him.

"P...P...Pa" Hearing this Harsha hugs Deepak and Ragini smiles looking at them.

"Deepak call me Ajju." Arjun also wants to hear his name from Deepak. Deepak opens his mouth but couldn't speak.

"He just started speaking. Just give him some time." Ragini says seeing Arjun's sad face. Arjun understood that it is really hard for Deepak to speak after many years and nodded his head in understanding.

Harsha asks Arjun to take Deepak home and he stays back.
