Chapter 9

In Mumbai

As they thought Mrs. Ravi Rajvansh went to the cafe with Arjun to meet Ragini. And Ragini also prepared herself to meet Harsha's mom.

Ragini wore a simple pink color churidar and came to the cafe early than she need to and took permission from the cafe owner and waited for Harsha's mom and Arjun.

After waiting for 20 mins the door opened and Harsha's mom and Arjun came. Arjun pointer to the table where Ragini was waiting. After seeing Ragini Mrs. Ravi Rajvansh was mesmerized seeing Ragini, who was looking simple but elegant

She asked Arjun to sit at another table and went near Ragini.

"Hello beta. I am Harshar's mom." Mrs. Ravi Rajvansh said standing in front of Ragini. And Ragini stands up in respect to greet her.

"Hello Ma'am. I am Ragini. Please have a seat, Ma'am." Ragini said with politeness.

"Please don't need to be this polite Ragini. Have a seat." Said Mrs. Ravi Rajvansh taking her seat.

"Thank you, Ma'am." Ragini took her seat.

"Well, I won't beat behind the bushes. May I know why did you accept my son's proposal?" Mrs. Ravi Rajvansh directly came to the point.

"I neither want to be your son's wife nor I am interested. I just want to be Deepak's mother. He was the first person I met after coming to Mumbai. He became the reason for my smile after coming to Mumbai. And after knowing about his parents and about his problem I saw myself in him, I found a lone kid who wants a mother's love just like me. We both can be at each other's peace. That's why I accepted your son's proposal." Ragini said the truth to Mrs. Ravi Rajvansh.

Mrs. Ravi Rajvansh just smiled looking at Ragini and liked her honesty.

"Good I like you and your honesty. But I have a doubt are you by any chance pitying my Deepak?" Mrs. Ravi Rajvansh asked to confirm her doubts.

"Not. I don't pith him because he had his family who tied him to his pinky finger. But? I never felt anyone's love, yeah my grandma took care of me but she took control over my life, and now I am here to find my happiness, in Mumbai. And Deepak can give me happiness that I craved and I can give him the love he craves for." While she was saying this Mrs. Ravi Rajvansh saw Ragin's eyes teared up while talking about her past and also saw her smiling through her tears while talking about Deepak.

"I now understand why Deepak wanted you as his mother. I think you both are fated with each other. And I believe Deepak made a correct choice to make you his mother." Mrs. Ravi Rajvansh said with a smile but soon the smile faded.

"If you don't mind may I know about your previous marriage?" She doesn't want Ragini to get upset but she wants to know why she was divorced.

"I...I loved someone who don't deserve my love at all. My love for him made me do things that no one should but he never respected my love until I decided to move on from him." Ragini said taking a deep breath.

"What's the reason for your divorce?" Mrs. Ravi Rajvansh asked again.

"I forced myself into his life. Yeah, I forced myself into his life because I love him very much. But he thought my love was a burden and took my sign on divorce papers without my knowledge. With that, I thought I deserve to be loved and respected that's why I left everyone from my past." Ragini smiled at Mrs. Ravi Rajvansh.

Mrs. Ravi Rajvansh smile at Ragini as she saw Ragini is proud of her decision.

"I don't know what happened in your past but I expect you to respect your present relationship which will take place between you and Harsha." To which Ragini smiled.

"I also don't want to be in my past anymore aunty. After all, I also want to live a life." Ragini said giving a small smile to Mrs. Ravi Rajvansh.

"So Ragini. Let's talk about marriage now?" Ragini nodded her head.

"Auty! I don't want this marriage to be a grand one or something like that. I just don't want my family to know about my whereabouts. Can you please accept it, ma'am?" Ragini requested.

"I am not the only one to decide this Ragini. But yeah, my family can understand your problem and I am sure they will agree when I tell them about your problem." Ragin just nodded her head.

"Okay, then I need to leave now. Bye Ragini sees you soon as my daughter-in-law." Mrs. Ravi Rajvansh hugged her. Arjun who sat far from them see this a smiles excitedly. Ragini sends off Mrs. Ravi Rajvansh and Arjun.

While going home Arjun couldn't control his curiosity.

"Aunty, I want to know whether you liked her or not?" Arjun asked directly.

"I will tell in front of everyone." Mrs. Ravi Rajvansh said with attitude.

"Please aunty, pretty please." He made a puppy face.

"No way. Just have patience ok?" She gave him her attitude.

"Fine. I'll wait." Arjun pouted.

Mrs. Ravi Rajvansh didn't speak to anyone about Ragini and what she decided until everyone didn't come home. she didn't answer anyone's call or say anything when she was asked in person.

All gathered in the main hall and were waiting for her to speak.

"So? What did you decide?" Mr. Vishnu Rajvansh broke the silence.

"Well I spoke with her and I get to know about her and her past. I asked a few questions that she gave honestly. And...I liked her." Mrs. Rajvansh saw Deepak's face and gave her answer. After listening, Deepak ran to her and hugged her tightly. Harsha smiled seeing Deepak's happiness.

"Then we have a lot of work to do. We need to finalize the dates for engagement, marriage, and other rituals too." Mrs. Janki Varma.

"Wait. She wants a simple marriage. I mean she doesn't want the world to know whom our son married." She interrupted Janki which made everyone look at her in confusion.

"She doesn't want the world to know about Harsha's wedding? How can this be possible?" Mr. Raghu Varma asked.

"What I mean is that she doesn't want her family to know about her being in Mumbai. She wants to move on from her past. And she requested for this." Mrs. Ravi Rajvansh said Ragini's thoughts. All want to celebrate Harsha's marriage grandly.

"It can be done. We will not invite anyone. Just our family and photographers that's it." Harsha broke his silence.

"How can this happen? Harsha, you are a powerful businessman in Mumbai and we need to invite everyone." Mr. Vishnu Rajvansh said and Mr. Raghu Varma also agreed. Both Ravi Rajvansh and Janki Varma sighed at their husband's thoughts.

"Dad, uncle I think marriage is something that needs to happen between two families and two people. And I don't think it's a big deal for us to not invite anyone to our marriage. I am ok with it." Ravi Rajvansh and Janki Varma smiled hearing his reply. Deepak went to his father and gave a small kiss on his cheeks.

"Pa." Hearing Deepak, all their family went to him but didn't force him to call them. They felt happy to see him speaking in front of them and agreed with Ragini's request. Mrs. Ravi Rajvansh asked Harsha to inform Ragini about their decision. He agreed to inform me here tomorrow.

They know Deepak and Harsha will need a woman in there and they hope Ragini to bring happiness to their life.
