Harsha laid Ragini on the bed and went to change into his nightdress. He came out only to see Ragini sitting on the bed and her hair is covering her face. He could hear her weeping. Looking at her like that Harsha was shit scared to go near her.
"Ragini?" He called her. Ragini removed her hair from her face and looked at him. Her red eyes are telling him that she was crying. Seeing her like that he went near her.
"Ragini! What happened? Why are you crying?" Harsha asked sitting beside her. Ragini looked at him in disbelief.
"Why am I crying? Seriously? You made me cry and you are asking why am I crying?" Ragini said loudly getting off the bed. Harsha who doesn't like being accused for unknown reasons got serious and stood in front of her.
"I made you cry? And how?" Ragini teared up again. She started crying in silence looking at him angrily.
"You ignored me all day and asked me how? You dont know it hurts to be avoided or ignored." Ragini looked at him with her teary eyes which melted his heart. He took her in his arms.
"I am sorry. I am sorry. You know it's frustrating that I can't help you to move on from your past. Ragini I want you to move on from your past. It can happen only if you open up to me." Harsha rubbed her cheeks with his thumb.
Ragini stared at him. She closed her eyes and the first figure that came into her mind is Harsha's. She smiled closing her eyes. She leaned closer to him by which Harsha could smell alcohol from her breath.
"Ragini you are drunk?" Ragini opened her eyes and shook her head negatively.
"Nooo. I am not drunk. I dont drink. During the whole party, I only had juice nothing else." Harsha sighed as he know who's drinks were because he and Arjun both together use to drink like that.
"Harsha! I...I want to te...tell you about my past and I tried a lot. But I dont know why I am not able to do that." Ragini confessed. Harsha was shocked that she tried to talk to him but he never tried to understand how hard it would be for her to share her past.
"I am sorry, I was pressuring you right?" Ragini shook her head and looked into his eyes. He made her sit on the bed and kneeled in front of her.
"My...ex-husband, Laksh. He was engaged to me, but he love my step-sister, Swara. All agreed to their relationship and I was hurt. Nobody thought about my feelings. And then came Laksh's cousin's brother, Sanskar. He wanted to take revenge on Laksh's father and he manipulated me by using my feelings for Laksh. On the day of their marriage I.............." Ragaini opened up about her past and Harsha sat on the floor in front of her and patiently listened to her. After listening to her he started to feel jealous that she love that Laksh so much and it made him crave her love too.
"He used me, Harsha. He used me. He took my innocence away. All I wanted was love from him but all he gave me is pain. I...I know that I was wrong to do those all bad things but I loved him so much that I tried to kill my sister. No one Harsha, not even my father, grandma, or grandpa thought about me. And my step-sister always says that she loves me and all but why did she try to steal my love for me when she knows that I loved him so much." Ragini was crying continuously. He hugged her as he felt her pain. Soon he felt her cry die and looked at her to see that she was staring at him.
"What happened?" He asked her releasing her from the hug.
"You know after a long time I felt that I have a family who will love me no matter what. The elder will support me and love me like I am their daughter. A brother who will give me protection and irritate me. A son who gave me everything and made me his mother. And you, my husband who always stands next to me and never leaves me alone." Ragini said as she leaned close to him and kissed his lips taking him by surprise.
