You and Lena were going to move into another house. Lena was cleaning the bedroom to dispose some of her things that she finds useless. You both needed to unload things you don't need to bring to your new home. As Lena was searching through her things, she stumbled upon a brown leather journal. Opening the said journal, Lena's smile gets wider as she flips thru the pages. It was her mother's journal containing information about historic facts, solved mysteries and unsolved mysteries. She turn another page, a picture caught her attention. Flipping the picture on it's back, there was a written message,

"A man of power shall therefore seek power."

The picture and the words at the back got Lena's attention. It made her forget what she was doing and instead read thru the journal. The further she gets, the more it gets interesting.

"Lena honey?? I saw your-- what is that?" You ask her after seeing the big brown book thing and picture she's holding. She stood up quickly to show you what she found, "Baby! Look at this! It's my mother's journal. I was searching through my things when I stumbled upon it and look what I found?" You look at her confused, "uh huh, okay?" "Look, remember the medallion I told you... the one Andrea took? This is it." as she shows you the picture of the medallion. She flips another page, "and this one is the necklace mom found when she was still young and this one... this is the eternal stone" she said with excitement. "Okay. First, that's a beautiful looking stone, babe. Second, what's with all these things? Why are you excited about them?" you asked your girlfriend. She sighed, "Baby, this is not just an ordinary stone. This is an extremely rare blue diamond that cost trillion or even quadrillion dollars." "Lena you're a billionaire do you still need that amount of money?" you asked.

Lena is getting frustrated with how clueless you are with her potential project, "Tss. Listen, this piece of stone was owned by Alfonso de Albuquerque. It says here that only 3 people possessed this rare gem. Vlad the Impaler, Tamerlane, and Alfonso de Albuquerque. These people are one of the most fearsome rulers in history and I believe this is why. Babe, it's the gem!" She points the picture of the stone. You looked at her blankly, still internalizing what she said. You still didn't get why she'd be excited of such a stone, yes rare but why though? "So..." is all you can say to her. "So, we need to find it!" She added.

You winced at the idea, "you want us to find this stone? For what again? Do you even know where to look? And babe, seriously though, WHY?!" Lena answers you quickly, "it's stated in my mothers journal, when the Flor De Lamar ship sank due to a violent storm, all of its people died except Albuquerque. It is said that he survived the fatal shipwreck and after 3 days he was rescued by another ship. Even the rescuers can't believe he survived the whole thing because of the wreckage they saw. He doesn't even have bruises on him or any signs that he suffered." She then shows you a picture of a ship, "This is Trinidad. It was captained by Ferdinand Magellan and was the ship that rescued Albuquerque. The ship had a plan to conquer Southeast Asia in the name of Spain, bringing their religion before they found Albuquerque. Him being saved, he continued with them to their voyage. They landed in the Philippines in which Magellan and Albuquerque tried to conquer the place. However, Magellan was killed so Albuquerque finished what was started and won. He killed men, women, and even children all on his own and soon enough, the chief succumbed to him and was converted to Christianity." You listening to your girlfriend attentively, were overwhelmed about the information you got, "okay, babe. I still don't get, why though." "Ugh! (y/n)!! This stone. It's special! Can't you see? That diamond has its magic! If this stone can save and heal Albuquerque imagine what it can do to save the world." You looked at her then chuckled, "Lena? I appreciate your enthusiasm and possible 'save the world' scheme but aren't you a woman of science? It all seems like a coincidence. Even a myth, you sure about it?" you teased your girlfriend a bit. She gave you her infamous look and that made you shut up, a que to stop yourself.

She looked at you with all conviction and said, "I need to find that diamond. I need to continue my mother's journey." "Uhm wait, what? Excuse me, what? Baby are you joking right now? Lena, even if what's written in the journal is true... Philippines has like 7,641 islands or something and we don't even know where in those islands they landed. Second, why would they even conquer an island who has no use for them. Third, you sure that it's still in the Philippines?" Lena search thru the journal to find some answers to your queries but failed "Then I'll find a way." You saw the determination in her face. You know it yourself that you can't stop her when her mind has already decided. "I guess we're travelling to the Philippines then."
