Focus is Futile (NR)

It's 7am in the morning, you and Cap just got home from your running, Sam included but he is behind a few metres from the two of you. He does regret coming to these runs with two enhanced super soldiers but Steve insists.

The three of you separated, you and Steve going to the gym to try to finish your workout and Sam opting to find breakfast or at least coffee from Tony.

As the two of you arrived at the gym, you saw Natasha deadlifting weights you believe is way heavier than you. Steve smirked as he caught you staring. He knows the feelings and affection you have of the red head. He has told you many times before to just tell the ex-assassin but you were too chicken to do it. He pushed you to try to get your attention, "very subtle, Y/L/N. Very subtle you're drooling." he chuckled. "Shut up, Popsicle." you said while you threw the gloves harder than you should.

The red head has finally seen the two of you, "Hey, Y/n, Steve." "Hey" "Hi-i." You replied with a tinge of red on your cheeks while the red head just smirked. "Are you ready for tomorrow's mission?" Natasha asked. "Yeah. Cap and I are training for it. He did say he can't accompany me so probably Hill will be my partner." "Oh, you haven't heard? I'll be your partner for tomorrow. I'll see you in 40 mins, at the briefing room." She smiled and you were left dumbfounded. You sure hope everything will go smoothly.

"Are you done daydreaming now, Y/N/N" Steve said teasingly. "I hate you."  "Love you too." You glared at the man. "Shut it."

After finishing a few reps you've decided to head to your room and freshen up for the briefing.

As you arrived at the briefing room, you were the first one to be there. You're just waiting for Natasha and Fury to brief the both of you for tomorrow's mission. You were so into your head about your feelings for Natasha and the time you two will be spending on the mission that you didn't realise that she already was inside the room and trying to get your attention.

"Y/L/N! What has gotten you so distracted today?" Natasha asked by moving next to the chair beside you as she turned your chair facing her. You try to shake away your thoughts and look at her. She was trying to read you and hope that you're not upset about the change of assignment as she is your partner instead of Hill.

"I-" you try to say something that will help you hide what you were previously thinking but she raised her eyebrow and that made you stop and tell her the truth.

"The truth is that all I can think about is you and me in this mission and how I'll be so distracted thinking about how beautiful you are and what your lips would feel against mine. You hurriedly say hoping that she didn't get what you said but unfortunately for you and good thing for the spy is that she heard you clearly and smirked. "You could have just said so", she leaned in, pressing a soft kiss that you thought was just an imagination but then you realised that it was real so you kissed her back and asked for entrance which she willingly gave.

You two were kissing passionately until someone coughed, "are you two done?" Fury said. You two backed away from each other but Nat being Nat gave you a peck and said, "There, now you don't have to be daydreaming about it."

"Agents, focus."

"Yes, sir"

You both looked at each other smirking and thinking about what this mission will do and what the future will hold.
