Ana's Pov

As I was dancing with Lucas, the music flowed around me and him; suddenly when I laid my head on his shoulder I can hear a slowed thump coming from his chest, his heartbeat sounds really beautiful. I'm really glad he showed up, he even comforted me when I got done with Mama's speech, my chest was tighten, a warm feeling started evolving in the pit of my stomach, no no no I can't be falling for him.. I just met him. Ana slow your roll.

I pulled away probably too fast, cause Lucas had a worried look in his eyes, "uh sorry I uhm need some air" I told him when really I needed to get out of there, jeez. "Alright, just come find me when you're okay alright?" He asked, I nodded. I walked out and untied the ribbon of my mask and took it off, I sat on the edge of the colorful water fountain. I took in a deep breath and exhaled, all these confusing feelings are so overwhelming.. like who the hell do I like? I asked my self conscious.. Vinnie or Lucas, I mean I can't like Lucas cause we just met not even 4 days ago.. it's too soon. Vinnie I like him I do, I just don't know if I can trust him enough if he's gonna keep secret friendships a secret.. but he apologized and I avoided him when I should've just hear him out.

A throat was cleared, I glanced up to see a guy, with a red designed vest on, hold on I recognize his stance and that soft smile, I furrowed my brows in confusion... Bryce what is he doing here? Uh dummy ask him. My self consciousness butted in. "Bryce?.." that's the only thing I can say, I sighed I really needed a big brother right now, I sighed and got up and raced to him and tightly embraced him, "whoa, I honestly thought we still weren't talking.." he let out as he returned the embrace as well. "I was an idiot for ignoring you these past few weeks, you were just being truthful, I should've been mad at Vinnie but we made up and I was terrified to reach out cause I thought our friendship went down the drain and then my mom's birthday was coming up and fuck I think I'm having a mental breakdown with all this confusion." I rapidly explained breathing heavily and loudly "okay Ana, breathe" Bryce guided me, he inhaled slowly then exhaled, as I tried to go along and little by little my breathing went back to normal. As I finally calmed down, "what is it that you're so confused about?" Bryce asked, he sat beside me taking his mask off. I sighed "my feelings..." I softly let out, "for?" Bryce asked, seriously we've stopped talking for two weeks and he forgot how lovestruck I was over Vinnie. "Vinnie and.. Lucas" I said in a whisper, "who's Lucas?" He asked "a guy I met here but the thing is I just met him four days ago" Bryce sighed "well you definitely don't want to rush into something that you might regret rushing into, but I can't say shit cause I fell for Amelia hard when I first came across from her on Instagram" I smiled remembering when Bryce first mentioned his huge crush on Amelia, and he blabbered on about her over those two weeks that she was visiting for spring break.

Few days since Amelia Left

"Brrryceeeee!" I yelled out, I looked up the stairs and waited for a response, I huffed in annoyance; "is that my beanie!" I hear coming from upstairs; I see Dixie running down the steps towards me; my eyes widen as she picked me up and twirled me around making me laugh. "Hi weenie!" I blurted wrapping my legs and arms around her. "Wow she's never that excited to see me." Me and Dix hear from behind us, Dixie had placed me down softly "oh shush, me and Ana hardly hangout" Dixie replied back to Noah, "Awe thick neck jelly?" I teased him, he playfully rolled his eyes and rubbed my head messing up my hair a bit, I scoffed and nudged him softly. "Anyways where's Bryce?" I asked "he's upstairs in his room hasn't even come out yet" Noah says as he follows Dixie to the kitchen, I frowned then made my way up to Bryce's room, I softly tapped onto his room door. "Go away" I hear from behind, I rolled my eyes in annoyance. I turned the knob pushing the door in peeking my head in, I see clothes everywhere; as the light from out here peek through into his dark bedroom; I pushed the door open as I walked over to his black curtains, huh these are new. I pulled the curtains open as Bryce wince in pain as the brightness of the daylight shined in. "Get up." I demanded, as I started picking up every piece of clothing on the floor "no, and close the damn curtains" Bryce muffled out through his pillow, "nope. You seriously need to get out" I told him as I tossed the pile of clothes in his laundry basket.
